I have been haharassed for a business web site and I think his name is mike and he makes rude jokes about my business saying no one can make money being a dog walker or pet sitter and I need to win a the lotto to pay him .any how he call all the time and threats me to a lawyers office.

I have had harrassing calls also, would like to file a claim with others; they have contacted one of my wife's work partners and discussed a debt with them, a clear violation of the debt protection act.Let me hear if you would like to co-operate, it's appreciated.

Any collection agency that is contacting you to pay a debt MUST provide you with proof of the debt. The correct thing to do is for you to write a letter requesting them to provide you proof of the debt. Be sure you certified and request a return receipt from the post office as proof that you have sent them this request. If they do not provide you with the proof, you can then send copies of such letter to the 3 credit bureaus.It takes a bit of time and work on your part, but this will ensure that these bill collectors get off your back! Once the credit bureaus receive your letter requesting the removal of these negative reporting, the credit bureaus will send them a letter requesting validation of your alleged debt and if not properly provided by these collections agencies, your credit will be cleared.Also remember that there may be instances when people may have used your credit information and if that's the case, you will need to make a police report which will need to be included in your certified letter to the collection agencies and credit bureaus.Lots of work? Totally, but it is worth clearing and protecting your credit!
