Please learn the law before you post. I learned the hard way. If you have a legitimate debt, the collection agency CAN file a civil case on behalf of their client and they CAN garnish your wages up to 25% percent of your income AND all monies in ANY of your bank accounts less $400 once the case is determined in the creditor's favor. While most collection agencies push the boundaries, if you owe the debt, you owe the debt and it will not go away unless you file bankrupcty or live on government disability or pension (they can't take either of them). By the way, when they garnish the money, not only will the bank not tell you prior, they are legally not allowed to tell you.
Just got a call from this people, Googled the number while call in progress. Thank goodness for 800notes! You guys are great!!!! This was so and so from McCarthy, Burgess & Wolff who....in the begining wanted to talk about some invoices they received on reference #11111111 or whatever number. Found it strange that invoices would be, what appeared to be a legal firm in Ohio since we do not do business with anyone in Ohio. I put the call on Mute for a few while I entered several searches in Google. Found all of these responses and simply hung up.Statute of Limitations people.........Again, thank goodness for 800notes and everyone that posts on here...keeping us abreast on the low life, and our rights.Fred

It is a legit PNC Bank phone no. I wrote out a $12000. check and they called to verify and had the last 3 digits of checking acct. on message.
