Got a vm from them on my cell phone but the vm is so broken up, it sounds like bee-ack-oop-ha-squwak-oop-ee-ack...nice vm. Glad they were able to leave, in some alien space language, the reason why they called. I have several clients that have godaddy as their host and I would need a translation device to let me hear what they said. The emails don't give you a specific domain name so it would be like roulette to guess which one they were oop-eep-boppin' talking about.Good going godaddy!
This phone number is GoDaddy number. If you have a GoDaddy account and they are calling you, you should probably return the call to see what they have to update you about. Especially if you actually use your site for business.
I just called Godaddy's number off their website and they confirmed that this was a legit phone call from them. I wish I didn't have a scroll to the bottom of this thread to see that this is a real number, I was pretty much a jerk to the guy on the phone while I was looking up his number and scanning the first few comments while I was answering the call and initially talking to him.
Pretty sure this a legit call from GoDaddy. I just registered for hosting two days ago and have gotten three calls, none of which I've answered.
I figure it's Godaddy, because they are the only ones who call me from 480. There's good reason for them to call, as we actually did a complex transaction last week, so it could be them. I declined the call.
Wow, I came across this site after I recently received a call today from this number as well 480-505-8859. I answered and no one was there. I just registered a domain name with them.If I get the same annoying phone calls as others I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, and Attorney General. Even though someone does business with a company they should not be allowed to make telemaketing calls everyday even if after the client asks the company to stop calling.
It's Godaddy.com. They left voice mail about a domain that was due to expire. If they didn't call, I might have forgotten about re-registering it.
Better to be safe than sorry. It's too easy for scammers to spoof legitimate numbers in order to get personal, financial information out of called parties.
It appears to be GoDaddy - however, I do not have an account with them or any dealings whatsoever. They left a message asking for me to call back and verify my account details - obviously, I didn't... feels like a scam to me
