I got a call just now from them after a few purchases 3 days ago ... but I think (I hope) my situation will be different because I chose a customer service rep for my account who gave me their email address and if I have questions we contact each other directly that way. I'm hoping that will keep me from getting bugged about it. They know that they can just zip off an email (... this is the internet after all.) Hope that idea helps.
you people are retarded. if it says godaddy then they are probably calling from INSIDE the company... only make sense. when you paid for the privacy, thats from the whois.net database on the internet, not from their internal call center to make sure you are doing good and not having any issues. I order a good number of things from them and I have never felt it was "telemarketing" when they call to ask how things are going and checking up to see if there was anything that I might have missed when ordering. just some good advice, when sign up for stuff, read the fine print before you jump to conclusions and go posting your ignorance all over the internet.
Since when is it unreasonable for a company to contact a client about business? That's just plain dumb. So what if you do business with them online? I doubt your time is so precious that you can't afford to speak with somebody whose client you are. You must not be a professional, and if you are, I doubt you're successful - because its just plain good business etiquette to follow up with customers. Go ahead and trust companies online that you DON'T speak with on the phone, and have fun with that.
I have had their service for YEARS, and they have NEVER called me (phone), they have always emailed with info or questions. That is, until this past Monday, July1o. Two calls every day since. Today, Thursday July 13, 3 calls up to 3 PM. What the heck, are they suddenly becoming scammers along with all the others? I have ALWAYS been upset about the fact that they don't offer an 800# - so WE who have enriched Mr. Parsons ten times over must pay for phone calls to THEM? So I make it a point NOT to phone them for anything and I have their number blocked - simple as that!GO AWAY godaddy!
I desperately try to market my own line of designer poop to people via telephone. After four years of arduous effort, I have been unsuccessful. My clients include GM, Toshiba and the Republican National Convention.
That does not usually work, some callers get annoyed when you try to tell them not to call them anymore and hang up. Some are more professional, but at times it still does not work and they do not remove you.I have been getting calls from this number incessantly and have not been able to actually speak to a person to tell them to remove me.
They didn't sell your information, THEY called you. Yes, you may be offered new services when they call you, but they are calling you to help you. Most people new to them don't know what to do with what they have, and VERY frequently do not have the right tools to accomplish what they are trying to do.
I answered, guy said he was from GoDaddy, didn't give him any info, he didn't ask for anything, he knew my first name already then he asked if I was happy with my GoDaddy service, I said yes, he asked if I had any questions, I said no and then he said to call customer service if I need anything, I said thanks and that was it. took all of 30 seconds, if that, and no more calls.
