If you actually request to be put on the do not call list, and give the information they ask for, they will do so. They call to go over your website with you, because of the high number of people that purchase services, and never actually use them to their potential, resulting in that person wasting their money. Lots of their customers need some help, and they go out of their way to try to give it to them.
Why is my selfie device making a ringing noise and saying godaddy on it? Why?????? I think my selfie device is broken!!!
This is especially funny, because of how many people "miss" the emails about their "important" domain, that they just happened to forget was expiring. They are the ones who you see posting complaints about how their registrar did something terrible to them, and it's all their fault that their domain is gone. The idea behind them actually caring enough to call you, and make sure your account is ok, is awesome. You don't want calls? So you call, and "complain loudly" to some undeserving telephone represtative that has heard the story of how it's all their fault that someone's domain expired, to tell them how angry you are for them trying to prevent the same thing from happening to you? Also, to the comment about no other online companies calling you, yes, no other companies do try to go that extra mile.
This is one of the funniest bunch of dumb [***] posts I ever had the good fortune to stumble upon. Wow! There are stupid people out there.
GoDaddy. They are super obnoxious. They call early in the morning and even if I ignore them they leave obnoxious voice mail messages. Look, if I have an issue, I'll call, kay?
They don't call continuously, and you can request to be placed on the do not call list. Why do people freak out over every little thing? Just call, no need to be rude to the person on the phone, and and ask them not to call you!
You aren't going to need assistance in using the products you purchase on those websites, so why would they call you? You have NO IDEA how many of their customers buy things online, and get MORE than they should. If they tell you they have a concern about your account, they're not going to leave a voicemail with your account information, but they probably noticed something in your account that is a CONCERN.
