Everyone is right, this is a notification if you wanted to be told when an offender's status in jail has changed. There's no number to call to fix it - calling 1-866-277-7477, extension 1 will just have them tell you 'pick up and put in your pin.'You have to actually pick up, enter the pin that you created when you signed up, and then they can turn it off.I've received one call every 30 minutes - including ALL NIGHT LONG even though it's illegal to call between 9pm & 8am. It will never stop. Mine is going and going and going every half hour, because I need to pick up and put in the pin, which I can't do at work. RIDICULOUS. But yeah, pick up and put in the pin and they'll finally stop.
I keep getting messages about an offender that might be getting paroled. Please remove my number. The number given in the message is wrong, the person on the other end has nothing to do with this system and doesn't know why her number is used. Fix your system.
