Received all at 2:43 pm. No message was left. Call said it was coming from Richmond, CA. Who calls back random numbers? If you want to talk to me leave a message, otherwise dont bother me.

This is a legitmate OUTGOING ONLY number associated with Social Security.I applied for benefits, recieved a call from this number, didnt recognize and didnt answer, and immediately had a voicemail from a SS worker id previously spoken to asking me to call him back at the 888 area code number id used for him previously. Completely legit, its the outgoing only status and the fact redialing this doesnt get you to the person at SS you actually have business with that is freaking people out.

Called the number back and it was reported as being a non-working number with a man's voice

If someone from the social security office calls you say you are not comfortable giving out personal information over the phone and instead make an appointment with the office to talk to them about it. If they refuse a resaonable request they are indeed a scam.This is a scam .Plain and simple. The number is a free number you can get from a website called PINGER. SOcial security offices do not use po boxes.This person didn't call, but instead emailed us. they knew we had applied because of spyware installed on my dad's computer. These people are shady.

so I got a phone call from the same number 510-970-1100 I didn't answer to see if they were from the real ssa because they usually leave a message or send a letter , they didn't so I called my local ssa the next day and reported it ...be careful out there specially our senior citizen's.

Unanswered call. Left no message. Googled the number and came up owned by a private person who supposedly works for social security. I firmly doubt it as to why social security would be doing business from a privately owned number. Reported and now blocked.

No thank you! If it's a legit number, why "Unknown Name" on the ID? True, extensions don't show 8nformation as a main number would. But this # has called in the past. On my Blocked List, but I removed because time passed. Back it goes.Legit? Email or US Mail.

Just Recived A Call from This Number, Female Caller, Also Just Spoke To SSI. They Said, They Do Not Call ,Only To Give Appt.Reminders ,ANY AND ALL Info They Need Will Be Requested By Mail ONLY, AND Pls DO NOT Give any Info To This Caller,,, SSI , Says They Could Be Using Your Info For There Benefits. BE CAREFUL. THX

I received a voicemail from a Ron Caulman (sp?) from SSA. Call came in with telephone number 510 970-1100, however, his call back number is 510 970-2551. Voicemail stated he is from SS and is processing my SS claim and has some questions about it. Asked me to call back and leave my name, telephone number, SS# and what I'm calling about and he will research and call me back. I stupidly called back and provided this information as I had recently filed for SS. I've repeatedly called this telephone number back and get the same voicemail stating his name, that he is from SS and to leave all of the above information. I never get a call back. I'm currently on hold with SS# to find out if he is legit. If he is not, I will be calling all of the credit agencies to put an alert on my SS#.

got a call from this 510-970-1100 she then left msg about making sure my apt number was right concerning my apt number but then said call back to 510-970-4357?? im going to call social security to make sure this is legit
