This was a legitimate call. It was for an unpaid water bill in San Antonio which ex-husband failed to pay.

This is a debt collection firm. I get calls from them every so often about a debt of state income taxes (which I do owe) that goes back a few years. I did get an invoice for the debt in the mail once a few months ago, and I did send a small amount of money in the form of a money order instead of a check (so they don't get access to my bank account). So far I haven't received anything else in the mail from them, but I will not talk to them on the phone or return a phone call. In the recorded message it states "This is an attempt to collect a debt, and any information gathered will be used for that purpose". But it is Municipal Services Bureau in Austin, TX.

Just had the same thing and I file a complaint with The Texas States Attorney's office. If you do not declare why and what you are specifically call. . . You will suffer from a formal complaint and investigation.

This company has been calling our number for 15 months, sometimes as many as three times a day. For sure as many as 3 times a week. Its a recording to collect a debt and wants one to call the 866 number. I live in Calif. Never been in Texas.

Calls the business several times a day. Robo call which I automoatically hang up on, if they want to talk then they need to speak the hell up and talk! Going to continue to ignore robo calls as long as they make them. Company does not do business in Austin so don't have a clue what is about.

Keep calling a phone number not related to me.... Must be the pirate and first mate because they do not have jobs but bills due....

I have over 30 calls from this number on my emergency land line phone In the last two weeks. Not ever going to answer and I am happy to report that my phone works and the ringing does not bother my kitties. :) Good luck to the rest of ya'll!

Called at 8:30pm on 8/13/08. Caller ID showed Muni Svcs Bur. Left no message. Number comes back to Municipal Services Bureau, 6505 Airport Blvd, Suit 100, Austin Texas. Also goes by the name of Gila Corp. This is a collection agency that specializes in collecting traffic tickets etc for courts and municipalities. No idea why they are calling me because I checked my state DMV and have no traffic offenses of any kind. They have a "satisfactory" record with the BBB, but there have been complaints of their trying to collect non-existent tickets. If you get a call, confirm with the actual municipal authority that you have an outstanding ticket; don't take their word for it alone!

They have been calling me too multiple times daily, probably for a utility bill I haven't paid yet, but I am laid off, so cut me some slack here...
