Same EXACT thing happened to me, with the Quick Pay not going through, the numerous phone calls, and the 2 types of accounts. I had not known it was from Macy's at all, since calling the # back neither goes to a live person nor an answering machine (I called at night). After Googling 513-754-9822, I ended up at this formum, thankfully. I called the number during the day and it is a CALL CENTER for Macy's collections. Heavily accented man asking for my personal information was just too much. I called Macy's directly, and they were able to help. The Quick Pay payment had not gone through, so I did have to pay. They did not have a solution for the Quick Pay not going through. HOWEVER, they waived all fees (late/interest). The agent did say that customers should be told that there are 2 types of accounts (charge and credit) when applying for cards in-store. She was able to adjust my card from credit to charge, and will notify the crediting reporting agencies that the Macy's visa charge was opened in error without my knowledge. I will definitely check to make sure this all of this is correctly reported. Using the card for a 10% holiday discount turned into way too much of a hassle.

Several times over the past few days I received a call from this number saying that all their operators were busy, but to hold for an important message. Each time, I hung up at that point. I then googled the number and found this site with everyone's experiences. Now I was ready for the next time that number called!So, just a few minutes ago, the call came. For the first time, as soon as I answered, someone said "hello" and asked for my husband. (He does have a Macy's account, but it is paid up.) I said, "He's not home right now. What is this regarding?" The woman did not identify her company, but just said, "an important business matter." I replied, "Please remove our phone number from your call list. I have looked up the number you're calling from on the internet and know that this is NOT a legitimate call." She just replied, "OK, thank you" and hung up. So, we'll see if any more calls come in.

I don't know who this is but i would the calls to stop.

btw- I asked for a Customer Srv. Manager and reported the harassing phone calls. Will also write Macy's corporate about the same. May just be a drop in the corporate toilet bowl bucket, but if enough people do the same (and cut their cards), maybe they will adopt better (call center) business practices. Not worth having a Macy's card at all for this madness.

The # 513 754 9822 is Macy's headquarter# in Mason, Ohio. It will show on your caller Id so that you will know it is not a call from a telemarketeer.If a message is left on your answering machine like "This message is for Mr/Mz*name* This is Mr/Mz*name* calling about an important business matter. Please call today at 1-800...Thank you" Who ever the message was left for should call the 800# asp, it is due to a situation regarding your Macy's account. It may be that a payment was not received, many times the payment was made but posted to the wrong account by accident. Sometimes there is return mail and not receiving a statement the person may not know or remember a balance is owed on. If you answer the call and the caller is asking for another member of your family about an important business matter just ask what company the caller is with, legally they can not tell you any details but can id the name of the company and please don't assume all of the accounts are current and fine just call or have that person who the message is for call and find out, better to know then to not know and find out later when things are more complicated. If it's a matter of just a missed payment it's going to be a courtesy call just to let you know.

I believe this number 513-754-9822 MAY (I say "may) be legit but the tactics they use are of a harassing nature. The calls come in more than three times a day. My husband picked up once and was told they wanted my credit card number to pay the Macy's account over the phone. Recently, I was several days late on a Macy's bill so Macy's added a $39 late fee to my next bill. I called the Macy's toll free number. They told me I will still get calls until my balance is paid (because of the late payment??)( So NOW I'm a piece of crap because I was late???) even though the new bill doesn't indicate a past due balance (they just added the $39 to my payment due along with finance charges - now a $70 payment turned into close to $150 due) The rep at Macy's tried to get me to make a payment over the phone even though I told her I'm on a fixed income and will definitely pay my next bill by the due date. The rep also told me to expect more calls. A bunch of bull....! Not happy with Macy's and will be glad when it's paid off.

It not a scam idiot! I missed a payment on my macys card and this same number called me like 3 times a day til I paid it.

I'm replying to let you know if a message is not left it's because the caller is on a dialer system where the computer is making the call for them and unfortunately sometimes the computer doesn't bring up the account soon enough to detect if an answering machine has picked up the call so a message will not be left. If a message is left legally it can only be This is mr/mz*name* calling for mr/mz*name* about an important business matter. Please call today at 1-800...thank you. Using the name of the company in that phone message is not allowed; I know and agree, if it could be left it would make things more clear..ps only checks by phone are asked for, or go online or in store or by mail. Please do call back the # on the statement or c card and find out what it's about; wouldn't hurt-could help.

I do have a Macy's account. Now I know what BSer has been calling me (Macy's debt collector?). I normally don't answer my cell unless I know who it is or they leave a message. Thanks everyone for the info. It really helps to know even that little bit of information.

I keep getting cell phone calls that are Blocked ID..have had 13 calls?..is there anyway this can be checked to see who is doing this.
