I have received 4 calls in the past week from this number. I did receive one message...and it said "Hello..(Quiet for a bit)...Hello.....There is an issue with your service...please hold while we transfer you to a Customer Service Representative." What's weird...this happend while I was listening to my messages. I hung up. The reason I stayed on line for a bit, was because I thought it was SPRINT telling me there was an issue with my service. They make you believe you can not listen to anymore of your messages until you talk to the representative. (I have not received my cell phone bill from Sprint yet...so..we'll see if there's charges).
Not true, I worked at Macys and FDCPA was enforced. They went thru extensive FDCPA training. So if you are getting harrassed, make sure you write down times and whom you talked to and call back and tell them they are violating FDCPA.
Calls several times a week about a Macy's card with no balance. I spoke w/ Macy's about this and they seemed to be puzzled about the 800 number and originating number. This stinks like a scam.
I got a call today from this number twice and when I picked up there was no one there.........so I called the number myself and I still got no one. I too think that this is a scam!
I just got a call from this number and it's Macy's asking about my payment. I asked "You mean the one I made on 4/15 which is my due date? The one that I actually made twice because I wasn't sure the first one went through? That payment?" The Indian (dot, not feather) on the other end said "your past due payment". Told him that my payment is NOT past due and it was made twice and clearly he doesn't understand American sarcasm! Told him to check his computer again and if they call back I will file a complaint with the FCC for harrassment.
I also have a Macy's account, with a zero balance, so these are not legitimate "reminder calls" about a past due payment. Also, I have my cell phone number listed with Macy's, but the scammers are calling on my land line.
513-754-9822 - Called my home but no info on the caller ID, so I did not answer it. Checked this website and thankfully found out these guys are scammers. Called the number back, they represented themselves as Macy's. I gave them the number they called to identify me and told them I do not have a Macy's account. I didn't give them any other info and hung up. From now on, I'm not going to answer any call that is not identified on the Caller ID, and I have checked it out on line.
It is an outsourced company that Macy's uses to collect debts and maybe other issues with charges. If you don't like to speak to a foreign person with a heavy accent then ask to be redirected to somebody in America. They will do it.I honestly don't know why they are calling people that don't have a Macy's account. Maybe they are also outsourced from another company for other reasons. Or maybe someone with a Macy's account gave them an incorrect phone number which happens to be yours. I know for fact this has to do with Macy's because every time my payment is late this number calls. When i answer it is regarding my later payment.. I then ask to speak to someone in America and they immediately transfer me.
I've been receiving calls on my cell phone from this number, however, they could never leave a message since my voice mail is full. That's why I googled the phone number and led me to your site. I don't have a Macy's account and I never give out my cell phone number on any applications. Anyway, I tried calling it one time about 3:00 am PST with my Caller ID blocked, and the one who answered it had an East Indian accent. I didn't want to continue the conversation so I just hung up. I have signed up with the National DO NOT CALL List, so that's why I'm amazed I'm receiving these unsolicited calls.
