Macy's will call you if you are late on a payment. I have overlooked a payment date a couple of times, and they have called me, and it was true that I was late when they did call. I don't give them a payment over the phone because I'm a bit paranoid about that, but if I happen to be at my desk when they call, I tell them that I am logging onto my online account and submitting a payment while we are on the phone.

I called Macy's headquarters today. A very friendly voice told me she was unaware of any problem with calls from (513) 754 9822. Unbelievable! She offered to put my name on a do not call list. My payment was 5 days late when I started getting multiple calls per day. Corp Rep. told me Macy's was within their rights to turn accounts over to call center when past their due date. Certainly they are! However, several calls per day & 4 on Sun.- this is not a courtesy call-it is harassment. It's real simple-Macy's does not value their customer's or treat them with respect as does Nordstrom's, Neiman's, Sak's, JCP, Kohl's. My response will be to tell them to keep the many discount cards they constantly send me & to put my Macy's card on "Ice". Thank Heaven's I have not started my Christmas shopping. It will not be at Macy's!(513) 754-

It is probably because you always shop in store, and they wanted to make sure this online purchase wasn't fraudulent.

It is Macy's folks! And yes they will ask for your name, date of birth, last four of social security number & account number. How do I know that? Because I have actually called from a Macy's office to see what all these calls are all about. The lady said the calls should stop because my payment is not due yet. That was 3 weeks ago. It is Sunday now & the calls never stopped! They use different numbers & I was told by their office to ignore it. You think they would fix it, but they don't! I wish I could call them at their houses repeatedly & tell them to ignore it!!!

I cancelled my Macy's account 15 years ago, and today I just got my first phone call on my cell from this number... I've only had my cell for 8 years. No message was left.

Wth? This number and a variation of them call me all day long. No messages. If it was really Macy's, they'd leave a message. I think people are called randomly and they will catch people with Macy's accounts and without. I have a card but I'm not past due.
