It is possible for a caller to display a different number than the one they are calling from.I know this because I had a friend call me and his number showed up as 777-777-7777I don't know exactly how this is done. My point is that, yes, the number 520-798-4152 may be a number associated with the US Census, but that the caller is not necessarily calling from that number. Could be calling from Nigeria and having it display as 520-798-4152.

I keep getting calls from this # but don't pick up. I looked the # up to see who it keeps calling me. To the person who believes this is actually the Census Bureau, you need to reread what you read online. The ACS survey was conducted in 2006 and they only conduct this survey once a decade to a select few. If you believe this is the Census Bureau, it is not! This is a scam! These people are trying to steal your identities and I'd suggest you don't answer to their phone calls! Block this number! IT IS A SCAM!!

Got a call at 10:15 pm. They had the wrong address. I gave the woman ( who sounded Asian ) my address. She did ask, if I was on a cell phone. Then apologized for calling me so late. It might be the correct number for the census bureau out west, but who knows if they are running a scam or not. Don't give up your cell number, and get a security system if you did.

The calls are annoying... but if you play games with the person whose calling, it can be amusing.For instance, one time when they called, I asked for the guys name. Then interrupted him and asked whether I should order cheese pizza for dinner or make a sandwich. When I asked which flavor of wine he preferred, he gave me a name of a really cheap disgusting wine. then I proceeded to ask crazy questions, all the while I could tell I was annoying him by his tone of voice. When he asked about my address, I said, "Yep, you're lucky I'm off duty or I'd be tracing your call." He hung up.

Once again... more proof it's a f***ing scam! 2nd time this BLOCKED number managed to get through (1/11/2012 3 PM). I blocked it before (after the first time) and also on call screen ... it got through twice! TWICE!!!! Spoofed number not a real number!!!!Thiss number or any of the others mentioned claiming to be the census bureau happens to call ... don't play into it! It's a scam seeking to get your personal information! REPORT IT... as many d*mn times as necessary!!!

I also just got a call from this number. I told the guy I did not answer questions over the phone. He told me that he was from the US Census Bureau and if I did not cooperate I could get in "trouble." I still refused to answer his questions and he said he was "marking me down as uncooperative" and that I would have to "face the consequences." Unfortunately, such strongarm methods would surely work on some people.

Phoney census

received a call from this number on my cell phone saying that they were with the us census bureau wanting to confirm phone and listed address. Caller was a women with a think foreign accent. When I immediately tried to call back to the number, verizon wireless said the number had been disconnected or was no longer in service.

gotten calls from several numbers claiming this was the census bureau. That even appears on my caller I'd. Have never spoken to them. When I tried this number tonight it was disconnected. I called the 866-789-8808 number above & told them to stop calling or I would report them to homeland security.
