I get 4 to 8 calls a day saying for me to call them, for the past 6-8 mos. Im 59 yrs old and never had a call from them. Dont we fill out the census forms and since when they call people? this is harrassment

The Gov't already has my SSN and they want more???

These ppl call me all hours even past 9pm. I do not answer and they leave me a case ID number to give them when they tell me to call 888-817-2153.

I've been cooperating with the US Census for 2 years now. It started last year, 2011. They find away into my apartment building and brazenly knock on my door, not bothering to buzz me from downstairs. I awkwardly invite them in to answer their questions. After that, 4 follow up "interviews" are required. I thought I was done in 2011 but early in 2012 I get ANOTHER unsolicited visit from a different census employee. She explains that it's a two year process. I'm due for another "interview" where I expect them to leave me the f*ck alone. I've been patient with them for two years. I often see census people lurking around the outside of my apartment building, waiting for a tenant to let them in. They tape business cards to people's mailboxes. I can understand that as citizens we are obligated to do some of these things, BUT DON'T STALK US OUTSIDE OUR APARTMENTS AND DON'T KNOCK UNSOLICITED ON OUR DOORS.Then the phone calls start. They call me twice a day. Morning and evening, telling me to call back a number and refer to a case number. WHY?! I'm already INVITING YOU CREEPY PEOPLE INTO MY APARTMENT AND DOING YOUR QUESTIONAIRES IN PERSON.F*CK OFF US CENSUS!!! STOP THE HARASSMENT!!!

Refuse to answer and if it is as they all claim here, it most certainly is a scam!

I filled out the form and sent it in and got a follow-up call from someone asking about the info I gave. It got me to thinking about whether this is a scam. Does anyone have the mailing address from the form? I would like to do some further investigation about this from the Census Bureau. Thanks.

Never leave a message and when I pick up, claim they are the U.S. Census Bureau and ask to do a telphone survey. The call every day!

Seems they call to see when you're home and NOT! This has criminal written all over it!!!

Have received one voice mail requesting we return call and they provide a reference number.Answered this call tonight and the man calling became a bit surly when I refused to participate in his "survey" I am calling the regional U.S. Census Bureau number in Seattle tomorrow to report this caller.

I received calls from 2 of the numbers listed under scam. A woman wanted to verify the address that goes with our phone number. What they had didn't match. I also filled out the form last year for the actual census bureau. When I asked if she could verify she was from the census bureau, and that I had sent in the computer form she hung up. The numbers I received calls from were 520-798-4152 and 240-420-6029
