555-5555 is actually cox directory assistance for me. It ransfers u to 411 and that costs money SO NEVER CALL 555-5555 if u have cox!!! I had to learn the hard way...

This number has called me and several other people I know.

since last week of may I received 2 calls 1st. call operator asked me to hold to retrive my file. man got on phone knew my name, social security and said was being sued for fraud something about 1994 barrowing money from a fast cash check cashing place. wanted credit card info. to pay off so it wouldn't have to go to court. I asked a few questioned nothing answered then he told me to hold on and hung up on me I tried to call back but of course didn't work second call came about a week ago i let voice mail pick up so I can get a name of caller and business and maybe a phone number but NO VOICE MAIL I WONDER PRETTY SCARY THEY KNOW ALOT OF MY INFO. (EVEN MORE ODD) CALL WAS PLACED TO MY CELL THAT'S NOT IN MY NAME SO HOW DID THEY GET MY NUMBER, NAME, AND INFO? BEWARE 6/20/09

I didn't pick up this number but they did leave a voicemail that had a eerie touch to with the sound of an air conditioning running in the background and at the last few seconds a beep (it wasn't very loud but I'm guessing it was just a spam number and nothing more)

Got the call from 555-555-5555 telling that my vehicle warranty is expiring and this is the last call

call from 555-555-5555 caller ID said "UNKNOWN NAME" on Tuesday 08-08-17 at 407 PM.rang twice and answered 'Hello' - no one was there just dead air.

For the last three or four weeks I've got calls sometimes several times per day. I don't answer and I think I've put them on a blacklist a couple times but they seem to be able to bypass that. I answered one or two times and a robot said my car warranty is about to expire or something... total scam/ fraud - if someone figures out how to block or shut them down, please post!

Every hollywood movie where a phone number is given will start with 555. It's an unused area code.Oh... Getting calls from it too.
