Oh my these guys are such scammers, I can not believe that they are allowed to continue with this business. I was contacted today by Dave Anderson, I am sure these are fake names. Is there anyway they can be shut down.
Unfortunately "William/Bill Mott" is still using this scam to collect from unsuspecting businesses. We received a call from 561-206-6667 basically outlining the same scripted conversations as everyone else. Glad we checked here before wasting anymore time with him.
Received several calls from senior buyer David Anderson from As Seen On TV Productions in Boca Raton Florida.Calls from 561-613-6016 and when I saw their site and lack of information I was suspicious. He says the same thing as the posts above- wants to buy our products and sell on direct television. I am so glad I found this site as he has been persistent.
Get your info correct before u post ur opinions... First off they buy airtime on network affiliates such as ABC NBC CBS FOX n cable that works for the product... They have been on TV for 19 years n buying airtime n airing it 150 times is not a test plus producing a commercial on location w actors n actresses that r professional n doing complete fulfillment which if u know anything about it then u would realize that all the people involved in this commercial get a salary... Script writers, film editors, media buyers, people in the warehouse that ship, answer phones, process payment etc PLUS creation of a website n managing n securing that as well... Unlike QVC ASONTV buys the product outright ... No 120 day turnaround time to get paid like QVC/HSN pay for only the product they sell n if they don't sell it all then u the vendor buys back the unsold product n pays for the shipping both ways!!! So when u factor all these elements into this project ... Go buy ur own airtime for $40,000 low ball not even factoring production costs! People do your homework but do it the right way!!!
Robert Miller is a principle in the company ... Sometimes vendors require a second voice n just because the phone #s come up differently means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!I think all of u people r so CLUELESS ABOUT DIRECT RESPONSE THAT U R TALKING ABOUT SOMETHING U HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH!!! I have been in the advertising business for over 25 years n print is dead ... Internet is valid but TV is where it's at!! Look what it did for George Foreman among others!!!
I was just contacted by a pretty talented script reader "Mindy" .. same exact spiel as what has already been posted .. n as she went through vendo fee I was suspicious .. I have some understanding of direct response marketing - she used all the terminology ... but let's be real ... to produce a 60 second commercial that will sell a product that is of the quality required for network TV it will cost about $100k .. my products are mainly ceramic kitchen knives ... seasideknife.com I guarrantee you one thing, you won't see these being sold in prime time (or any time) on network TV ...
Thank you all for the heads up. Just received a voice message from this guy and before calling him back, I reviewed your valuable comments. I did not call him back and Blocked his phone number, Thanks again
Same spiel as above, William Mott this time, 561-206-6675Sure glad I did some due diligence and came across these posts.
I received the same calls from Bill Mott. I was about to take him up on his offer to produce a 60 second commercial and air it 150 times for the low low price of $14,600 (but wait there's more.... If you are one of the first 500 callers we will double the offer, just pay separate shipping and handling charges.)Something sounded suspicious. Thankfully I did my due diligence and found this page. The giveaway was he agreed too quickly to my wholesale price and then he said the only hard decision I am going to have to make in doing business with them was which of my children I will use in the commercial.
Just got the same type of call from Bill Mott. We get these types of unsolicited offers to make infomercials all the time and always originating from a company in Florida. I wonder how many people don't google this and get taken! If these scammers would invest the same amount of energy and hard work into a legitimate company, they would probably be very successful. Too bad they choose to scam people instead.
