I did my research and decided to go with this company and am very thankful i did i got out of my 7.75 interst rate into 2.5 and lowerd my payment over $800!
I was contacted by someone from Mortgage Solutions using an automated dialer. The guy sounded like some amatuer app taker so it must be some marketing company that sells leads. Anyhow they said someone from the Housing Assistance Law Center would be contacting me.I guess they sold the lead to some guy named Adam. He claimed to be some sort of Loss Mitigation Specialist and claimed the in-house attorneys would negotiate a lower rate and payment and maybe even cut my principal balance. I was skeptical at first because I've seen all these scams in the news. So I looked up their main attorney and she is listed with the Florida Bar online, so I knew they had to be legit. No attorney would risk their neck for some small mortgage scam.Anyhow I took my chances only because they offered my money back if they couldn't get an offer from my lender. Since then I've submitted my documents, been in contact with both Adam and the paralegals there, and my mortgage company has stopped calling and harassing me. It's been about 2 weeks and so far they've been pretty good about answering calls and my lender claims that the attorney has submitted a package to them.I hope everything works out well, but thus far they are legit and provide a great service. I tried to do this myself but there's nothing but [***] working at my bank and they've lost my info 5x already. If it doesn't work, I will let everyone know. If it does, I have referrals for Adam.-Mark P.
The Loan Modification Scam has had no arrests so far. The federal case has produced some results but not for Loan Modifications. The Feds got J V on charges for another scam of his. Scam after Scam is J Vs life. Taking from the poor to keep him rich !!!
Some of the comments on here are just ridicules. One lady couldn't find the attorney name when she searched it, so automatically its a scam. How about going onto the Florida Bar website and checking the attorney out. That's what I did and Karen Grun is a licensed attorney. I had the same skeptical thoughts that most of you did, but I also realize that with all these scams that are going around, theirs also companies that are getting these modification's done and working with an actual attorney is the best way to go. I was contacted by Housing Assistance and went down a quick application with them so that I can see what they had to offer me. They said that they could get me out of my 7.75 adjustable rate and reduce my payment by $350 a month. I was happy with what they were offering me, but they were asking for $3000 up front for the attorney retainer fee. This was the part that made me hesitant. I told them that I wanted to do more research and that I would get back to them and that's what I did. I saw that the attorney is a licensed attorney with the Florida Bar, I reviewed the paperwork with my own privet attorney (who is married to my daughter) and he told me that everything look legit but to be careful because of what's going on in the news. In the end I realized that if I was going to do this I had to trust the company or not do it at all and that's what I did. I sent them the paperwork, and retainer fee and then got a call from a paralegal for some more paperwork. Once I got everything to them it took them exactly 41 days to get it done. Now I have a rate of 3.75% fixed which is lower then what they quoted me and I got my new mortgage statement last month. It made me realize that all this [***] we watch on the news is just fear mongering created by the banks so that people won't take advantage of these programs. I'm sure that their are companies out their that are ripping people off but you can always report them to the attorney general and they will get shut down. No attorney is going to risk losing their licensing for $3000, I believe that and that's why I chose to work with an attorney rather then some mod group. Go threw the process and if you do fall victim to a scam then report it to the states attorney general, they have Task Forces to stop those type of companies and get your money back.
Vitulano is the sheriff of Nottingham. What a piece of dog dump. The persons hurt by this crook must continue to put pressure on the Florida Attorney Generals office to go after JV with a criminal case. This was suggested by the State Attorney Preston Mighdoll.
Even if you are satisfied, go ahead and report them and not only will you have your loan modified, you will have your fee returned to you. Attorneys can't use auto dialers. If FHA All Day is partnering with an attorney, and fees are split, the attorney has committed misconduct. I doubt Ms. Grun got her clients on her own. Being fed clients through one of these loan mod companies is a no-no and the AG has been cracking down hard. Do yourself a favor and go to your bank by yourself first before you even think about going with one of these scam ops. I met Jason Vitulano and, well, I wouldn't give the guy so much as pcoket change if I were you. Anyone that has the poster for "Boiler Room" hanging on the wall inhis office is a guy I wouldn't want to do business with. As far as Barry Hall is concerned, he isn't admitted to practice law in Florida but he conducts his business down here. Caveat Emptor!!!
I can belive you are judging someone by a poster hanging in thier office. sounds like you need help. if the company does what they say there going to do, which is help people. Why??? shouldnt they be able to do so??? it is people like you that fu-k up this world with your comments and complaints get a job you bum!!!!!!!!!!!
