Yesterday I got a call from an individual with a heavy foreign accent. He claimed he was from Chase and was calling about reducing my rate on my credit card. He said the last four digits on my card and at first I thought he was legit. Then he asked for my expiration date...like an idiot I gave him the date. When he started the spill about reducing my finance rate on what I owed, I snapped. I asked him how much I owed and this amount was not right. Further, my the card no. he gave was the number to my debit card which is not a "credit" card per se. So he then asked for verification on the rest of the numbers. Since he claimed he had the rest of the numbers I asked for him to give me the numbers just so I could verify that he too was legit and not a scam, he hung up. Hmm..., I must have scared him off!!!! LOL!
I'm on the "no call" list and received this unauthorized call this morning at 10:10 CST I don't know who this is or what they want. My caller ID states: "PHONE SCAM".......Please stop this calling
Repeat Caller about lower credit card rate.No option to remove name from list and when you ask they are rude and hang up on you---I was even called a profanity--can you imagine? minding your own business in your own home, the phone rings, and you are subjected to abuse.I do hope that the authorities place the crew in their rightful place--------jail!
I got the call too this morning and it showed up as"phone scam" on my caller id. I did not answer it. I advise anyone else not to it just keeps the fire going.
calls from "Rachel" 567.248.4400 states nothing wrong with my account but I can lower my intrest rate..she never asks for anyone ..I get these calls 2-3 x a week..usually when you a a"live" person they hang up..I am on a DO NOT CALL LIST..so what the heck is the problem ??
I can't believe the caller ID says "PHONE SCAM" Unbelievable! I don't answer my home phone anymore so the jokes on them.
