Received call fom 567-248-4400 at 7:45 on 2/10/11, purportedly about reducing my credit card rate, pretending to be from my credit card company. Pounded the phone on the wall several times and told the wog at the other end to f*** off.
to these telemarketers I have one comment: Let's play horse. I'll be the head and you can act NATURAL!
If you really want to mess with them and have a bit of time, push the button, tell them you owe a lot of money. If you ask which credit card or tell them you owe under $3000. They will just hang up on you. They don't want to waste time on someone they can not rip off.Keep them talking as long as you can before you find an interesting way to blow them off.Tell your friends on FB and ask them to make this message go viral.
I have been on the DNCL since July 2008. To date: This has not stopped the Telemarketers from interrupting my dinners, some as late as 9 PM, my baths before bed, or early morning cup of coffee. I am wondering why the Government & (FCC) would create such a list if they did not intend on holding those who continue to break that law…. held accountable, like BIG FINES or JAIL TIME with headlines letting Joe public know this will not be tolerated any longer??? Today I FINALLY had enough and filed my own complaint. If this gets me NO WHERE, I will also be calling my local news TV stations to see if they would like a good laugh and story on the already disappointing Government we have running the country these days with just yet more broken promises and no intentions of taking out these parasites?Visit DoNotCall.gov or call 1-888-382-1222. Hum someone must be paying someone off to keep this fiasco running???? Just say’
I see their number came up on my caller ID and I generally will not answer if I do not recognize the number and if it is a legit person/company they will leave a message. Just keep using good common sense and if you don't have caller ID think about getting it. It saves me a lot of unnecessary phone calls. And face it the FCC is not going to do anything about all this anytime soon. It seems the govt is all up in our business sometimes but when we really need some action they are no where to be found.
Same as others. Recorded call from "Rachel" saying nothing is wrong but that this is my last chance to reduce my interest rates. I, too, am on the National Do Not Call list but the scammers can always find a way around it. It's creepy and invasive.
Usually get the credit card rate message but today just interrupted my Sunday. I wish it really would be my final notice!
Still getting calls from them. They are now using a call block or whatever you call it to keep the number from showing up but they are leaving messages on my voice mail. The other day I pushed 1 to chew them out and the guy was saying since I pushed one I wanted to talk to them. I said no I didn't want their business I wanted them to quit calling. Then he says but we want to help consolidate your equifax credit card. Dude...1 I don't own a credit card...never have and 2. equifax is not a credit card. He hung up quickly after that. They've told me they removed me several times from their list which they obviously have not and I am on the do not call list. I have reported them for that and to the Ohio attourney general. I am fixing to call them back soon and complain yet again they can take their scam and shove it. I'm tired of them waking me up after a long night with a cranky toddler (or whatever else is going on. I can't turn my ringers off in case my kids call home from school or my mom who we take care of calls.
