Got a call on my cell phone from this number, I picked up the phone said 'hello' and they hung up.
I got a call from 571 431-1960 last night at 8:30pm and again tonight at the same time. I let it go to the answering machine & both times no message was left. I think I will answer next time they call also.
Sorry Robert but you are wrong. Only telemarketers are bound by the DNC list. Survey companies or telemarketers calling for charities are exempt from the DNC requirements. However, if you ask to be removed from their call list and they do not comply within 60 days, you may file a complaint.
Womans' voice: Are you sure its the right number? The guy in the background muttering something. So Maritz Research's number is used by various people eh? Don't continue playing, and don't make me mad. I know people who could track you down you little b*tches. That'll be the end of your research HAHA.
I receive a call from this number at least once a day for the past year now. I always answer when they call, the women is nice and speaks to me in Spanish, to which I don't speak nor understand Spanish so I just let her talk. When she takes a break, I ask her in English if I can help her, and she wants to talk to me about my recent visit into a Bank of America. The only problem is I don't have an account with BofA, therefor I don't visit them. So after explaining that little conundrum to the women on the other line, she always tells me that she'll call back later. Why? I still don't plan on visiting my local BofA....it's rather comical.
Calls constantly at the wrong time. Never leaves a message. ID states Maritz Research for which we have no connection. Annoying
They were inquiring about a call I made to my mortgage co. Wells Fargo on a specific date. Of the top of my head I didn't know. I am under ID theft and do not answer questions, and even without that threat I do not answer questions. I have set up passwords that they have to tell me, if party calls me. I do not know how they knew I called them, and they did not have information about the call, just who and when. I told them I would call Wells Fargo, if it wasn't me, and I'll check my copious notes. Checking my notes I did find that I had called them on the date in question.
I get calls often that stop ringing before my answering machine picks up. I suspect many are from FAKE caller IDs. Before I got caller ID, I received MANY calls for an Alvin Johnson. I was the lucky one that got Alvin's old number more than TWO years ago. I always told them that I did not know Alvin or where he was. I told them to stop calling me. They keep calling anyway. If the answering machine does pick up, all I hear are "boiler room" sounds.Did I mention that they may be using FAKED caller IDs? The numbers do not ever seem to go to a legitimate business when using Google to search.
