If your stay was horrible you should let the survey people know so they can let the hospital know. Some employees may need to be replaced.
It's a legitimate company hired to check if hospitals are doing a good job. However, scammers may impersonate them. Never give out Social Security, medical insurance or drivers' license information or numbers to anyone who calls on the phone. Also, of course, bank or credit card information.
