Or how about contacting the millions of people who have used our SERVICE for the past 10 years. I'm sure they'll tell you about the (real) SERVICES we have provided them. Maybe if you HAD a job, you could understand. But clearly, seeing as you can't do any RESEARCH for yourself, you have nothing better to do than [***] about [***] you know NOTHING ABOUT!

Because (if it is CGI Communications) they have been endorsed by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. They approach local governments, offering a free video for the city in exchange for a letter of endorsement from the mayor. Then they contract with local businesses to produce online advertising for them. They take tens-of-thousands in revenue out of local economies and bring it back to Rochester. Is there no business in Canada who can do this job? The FCM and local municipalities are a bunch of sell-outs. Buy local. Yeah, whatever.

The complaints seen here are just the tip of the iceberg. Sure they have the support of the mayors....they give them free advertising...it's the chamber members that get duped into funding the town/village/city/county seat advertising. The sales people will promise the world...better get it all in writing because you will find that when they actually deliver....you get an entirely different product of lesser quality. These folks are sharks and good at their deception.

No business likes to be approached to sponsor anything. With that being said, I can see why someone would post to this site. The facts are this. In the last few years, CGI has worked with well over 15,000 small businesses across the USA, CANADA and United Kingdom in providing internet video. CGI has had over 15,000 small business clients approve and utilize all of their products. CGI has an A minus Better Business Bureau rating. CGI utilizes local video professionals to tape their products. CGI provides a video service to local cities, chambers, and associations and obtains sponsorships to facilitate such program and provide the sponsor with commercial advertising in return. As a business owner myself I have used CGI products and believe they are a benefit if you allow them to put them on the city program, your own site and out to my own clients via email. Its easy to dismiss a product or service without understanding it in the first place.

Along that same line, if you buy and then find out that the product you were sold is inferior to the one you were promised, it takes a long time to get over it. That said, I bought the product when it was in it's infancy. I was very disappointed. As a small business owner imagine my surprise when I realized that I'd purchased laminated maps that looked like cheap restaurant menus. I spent hard earned money on a scam. I'm glad it worked out for you. I, on the other hand am left with a life-long bad impression of them. The phone calls are unrelenting until you're sold...then you can't seem to get a phone call returned. No thanks, never again.
