WE ARE A LEGITIMATE COMPANY WHO WORKS WITH CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES, CANADA, and MOST RECENTLY THE UNITED KINGDOM ... maybe you people should do some ACTUAL research before jumping to conclusions about our business and the services we DO provide ... not to mention we have MANY happy clients who would go to bat for us in an instant
Yes they are a real company. Do you people know anything about marketing? You are surrounded by it in your everyday life, and you take advantage of it EVERY SINGLE DAY! Do you ever buy off the dollar menu at McDonald's? Have you ever used a coupon? DO YOU GO ON THE INTERNET??? Our entire lives are about business. You need health insurance, somebody sells it to you. You need food, somebody sells it to you. CGI Communications gives businesses the ability to position themselves as the top businesses in their area. This is a legitimate company with a unique, intelligent idea to use multi-media communications to help companies sell their product to you.
Bob - give it up man -you've been had - posting the same thing does not make you or your company look any better - calling over and over and over WILL NOT HELP YOUR BUSINESS - do you get it???
not to deal with this company... if they spam half as much as Bob spamming this board.[once is an answer, twice is annoying, the rest is spam]
I worked for CGI. They're sexist, ignorant and elitist. They have a powerful business model and rally the troops well with locker-room-esque pep talks, but the majority of their employees are 22-28 years of age, just out of college and/or have never held any other employment after graduation. Consequently, their naivety blinds them. Senior staff members were constantly off-the-record with their admissions of how paper-thin the company's products and behavior really are.Females are considered prey and eye candy. Inter-office relationships (both monogamous commitments and casual sexual relations) are common. Only rarely do employees receive penalties for sexual harassment, comparative to how often it is perpetrated.Employees (including supervisors) have been known to drink in their offices, during lunch and of course, immediately at 5 o'clock. Not all employees are deluded into this is how professionals operate, but the average intelligence of most of the college-aged, failed jocks and cheerleaders are. Cocaine is also rampant. The The President of the company berates employees in small groups meetings for having gone to college. He tells us it was a waste of our time and money. If we're such imbeciles, why is he reduced to running a business founded on schemes and ploys? Also, the ratio of benefit to the customer and cost for services is out of whack. For what they actually receive, customers are paying tenfold. They're covering cost of travel and lodging for CGI employees and alcohol for the 5 nights per week that executives and employees hit the bar next door. You know, some employees at CGI are hard-working, intelligent and honest individuals. My hope for them is that they excel at CGI and are rewarded with a clean slate under an employer with more integrity.
This may be a "legit" company, as "Bob" has stated to the point of annoyance, but that doesn't make their practices respectable. I received a call from Megan stating that she was with the "Kent County Administrative Office" asking for the owner, and when I told her he was with a client, she became very pushy. Demanded to know when she could call and reach him, even asking when his lunch is. Would not leave a call back number. When she called again on Monday, she again said she was with Kent County, so I transferred the call to the owner. As soon as he got on the phone, she revealed that she was with CGI Communications and that she wants to set up an appointment to call and talk about their video services. Gave us several names within the company, but was still very vague about what she was actually offering. When our owner asked if there is a cost involved, she said yes, but quickly skirted away from that question. We have a phone appointment scheduled at this point, but are extremely leery. Any company that has to lie about who they are in order to get past the front desk is not one that I would jump at the chance to work with.
Thank you for these links--very helpful and have further convinced me that I do not want to do business with CGI.
Do not work with CGI. The videos are awful and the sales people are pushy, snake-oil salesmen. They claim they are a "marketing" firm, but they are not. They will sell you on how video is the growing on the web and you should be in on it. Trust me, it's not the way to go, there are other things you could spend your hard earned money on for marketing rather than some crappy video hosted on a lagging server.
They call my office again and again....I say no! again and again.... Repetitive, harassing phone calls is not part of any legitimate business!!! And, I will vote against any government official that permitted the use of it's letterhead to be used in such a manner. NO! means NO! I want nothing to do with your scam!!!! CGI.COM you stink! I am now going to call the Franklin County Missouri Commissioners to complain about cgi.com harassment now! Next time it will be the Missouri State Attorney General. Get it, NO means NO!
