Thanks for the great info. I too, am tired of these phone calls. I appreciate your work on this issue.
After numerous (far too many to count) calls to my cell phone from this same telemarketing recording about consolidating my debt (of which I have almost none, making me a horrible prospect to begin with), I finally waited to speak with a rep and was hung up on as soon as I politely asked to be removed from their list.Next time I'm going to pretend to be a hot prospect and spend as much time as possible talking to the rep I get (asking questions, making them wait while I look up my information, etc). When they finally figure out I'm just wasting their time and that I'm going to do it every time they call, maybe they will take me off their list.
Asking or begging telemarketers to stop calling does not work.Attempting to contact them is impossible.Filing a complaint with the FTC takes years.Getting angry or upset just makes it worse.Complaining on message boards accomplishes nothing.You have two options:1. Ignore the calls and continue to be harassed.or2. Answer the call, pretend you're interested and WASTE THEIR TIME.Wasting a telemarketer's time is the most effective thing you can do because it disrupts their scam.
I work grave yard and get woken up 3 hours into my sleep every day at roughly 10 am. Is there any way to track the location and/ or have someone local do some reconnaissance? Because I would love to punch the dude that keeps giving me hangup calls and keeping me from sleeping.

Got my name wrong, no where near close to the person they're trying to scam/contact. Call came from North Texas, left no company name, nothing. Shady asf, 888 area code is commonly used by scammers so this may not be legit.

Call identification states Rocket Mortgage. Never call back a call without checking number first. Never take the name on caller ID to be the true caller.
