This is a recording telling me I am approved to lower my credit card debt. I don't have any credit card debt and this is my cell phone, also I am on the "Do Not Call" registry.I don't even have the option to talk to a person and tell them to stop calling. When I dial the number back, it goes to a voice mail that is full.
Got called for this number a little over a week ago. Made the mistake and answered. Told the agent I was on th Nat. Do Not Call List. He called me an idiot, then hung up. Received 3 or 4 calls since then.
617-390-4562 - this phone call me all day long regarding lowering my interest rates. I finally pressed option 1 to speak with a rep. I requested that I be taken off their call list. They hung up on me. I immediately called back and the line was busy. Tried again a little later then still busy. Today they called again - pressed option 1 to speak with a rep. The first thing I requested was please take me off your list I am not interested in lowering any interest rates. He asked me what are my current interest rates. I repeated I am not interested. He hung up. I tried to call back and got the busy signal again!!
Yes, nothing I have tried has gotten rid of them. The initial recorded statement of their spiel is, "We have closed the file on your annual credit card account review." I have gotten this call every day or almost every day for the last 6-8 weeks. After hearing that it's them, I usually leave the phone off the hook in the hopes of costing them more money or tying up their line. I don't have caller ID, but I suspect that the source may be the same one as for 425-291-8409, cover in this website, due to their regularity and similar modus operandi. They may be phone phishing where a person who is besieged by debt collectors mistakes them for a creditor and gives them bank account info. I am on the Do Not Call List. Obviously, there are no teeth in it.
someone get me a valid address and I will go there and stop this problem for all of us
Got a call from this number few minutes ago about reduce credit card rate. Press 1 to talk to rep. After short time she came on line, first question she asked do I have $4,000 min CC debt. When I asked her the name of the company she hung up. Guess I will not get my rate reduced. All they want is your CC or bank info so they can steal your money.
Here's how I stopped the calls. It may take take a week or two but it has worked for me. For those who can assign ringers, save the scam number then set their ringer to silent. This way you will not be pestered.Second, do a search for 'call intercept tones' or 'disconnected number message'. Find one where you can play or download the tones and message. Now record your voice mail message as the 'disconnected message' by playing the msg near your phone.Gradually the calls will slow to a stop. The robodialer will see the tones as a disconnected phone. There is a risk though, anyone calling who gets to your voicemail will get that 'disconnected' message and they might think your number is disconnected.
Idiots called and hung-up when I pushed #1 and told them I was on the do-not-call list. They don't have a #2 or any removal number. They wanted to know if you are in debt over $3G. This must be a moron illegal company the way they do business. Please, somebody stop them!
for the pasted 8 weeks i get theses numbers from a security company with the same thing on the no call list i looked back at my phone history and notice that the day before i went to a store and they asked for my phone number and i gave it to them. then i ask what was it for and she said it was from specials and promos ....... my bad i found the receipt and it was the day before ! think back when you gave you number out and report that company to!
