The caller from this number was from American Express and left a return phone number of 8 5 5 - 5 3 1-8 4-4-0. I came to determine this after calling the American Express number on my card. It turned out to be concerning Costco no longer using American Express and that card will expire in March of next year.
I thought this was a scam, I took some very secure steps to make sure this was a legitimate call. I called the number on the back of my AmexCard. I spoke to an employee who actually works for American Express. I explained this issue I had with this call and the number displayed on caller ID as you are reading on this page as I have. The person calling me Casey, gave me his e-mail address; I verified the ending of the e-mail address with AmEx and then the person on the phone from AmEx messaged the employee and both verified they received the message. THIS IS A LEGITIMATE CALL. I advised both employees that they should have their company change the number that shows up on caller ID to be that of one that appears on the card or on their web-site. Again, this is a LEGITIMATE CALL from American Express.
Call came in from 623-492-4000, a voice message said this is American Express and to call back Emmanual direct at 855-431-7295. I then called the Amex phone number on the back of my card, they could find no issues with my account and could not verify either of the two numbers... I am not calling back.
Called at 7am alerting me that I had a legal issue with the IRS and to call them at a toll free number.
Legitimate call. I was very suspicious since 2 different numbers came up together on caller id. After being very careful not to give out personal information, I was able to call Am Ex, at the number on the back of the card and did verify the person that called me is indeed an Am Ex employee. It's good to verify and be safe.
NO IT IS NOT!!! Amx just told me this is NOT them. It is a scam and is reported as such. NO not confirm nor give any info to this number.
I had a call from 855 541 6622. After that I called the AmEx Costco center. The telephone listed here is legitimate. This is a special branch of AmEx doing outbound calls related to the Costoc replacement cards. Cheers!

My calls were being forwarded to this number and I have no idea how it happened.
They hung up. In the last ten days I've had unauthorized credit card charges and an identity theft related to a Medicare fraud case. I suspect this is related.

Medicredit I believe possibly is scam/fraud calls involving medical insurance, medicare. Courts WILL decide !!
