Just received a phone call from 636-812-4000,Rose International, immediatley followed by an e-mail to see if i was still interested in a position with verizon. Spoke with the "recruiter" and was asked for my ss# so he could process the paperwork to get me an interview tomorrow. I refused and he pressured and pushed for the ss#. I refused and he hung up. Smells like a scam!!
Okay, so why would a staffing agency call me from Missouri when I'm clear across the country? I've read from others they offer a job without an interview AND require your social security number before getting your resume. With my father having been working as an employment specialist for the past 6 years, I already know it's illegal to ask the person to provide a social security number, especially when asking over the phone without having any real credentials. This is already a huge set up for identity theft. If this really is a staffing agency, they're breaking some serious identity theft laws. And I find it odd that both who called me back to back had an Indian accent, usually indicating it's an outsourced call, which most scam "companies" use. Sorry. Try again. For all we know you ARE someone who works for them to gain favor with people so you can steal our SS numbers.
Hey was it Kevin ? I got misleaded into BOA & fired because they didn't "like me" I reported the to the E.O.C. & Almost got denied unempolyment benefits. 360 degrees racist. On all sides. ha ha....IF nobody makes you a priority then make yourself one first.
After reading the emails and looking up the website myself, things seem to be in order. I see a 50/50 chance that this is a real company. It IS illegal, however, for a company to ask for your social via web/phone. It is too easy for your ID to be stolen this way, and by law you are not required to give it. I know because I have friends who work in job placement for a living, and for several years. Only places like your local state employment office have the right to ask for it over the phone, because for one, they're with the state and understand that if they misuse their resources they're going to jail, and two, they can't look up a job for you if they don't, since you come up in the system and they need to see your history. But non-state companies are not even meant to be asking for your Social. The only time is when you're applying for the job and filling out the W2 or W4 form for tax purposes. That's when you know it's legit. I still need to ask more about the company and see if I get an email reply.
same guy I dealed with. Same exact message..... two months .. week of training ... hostile, racist & unspecific to intelligent people. cheese no these people suck 360. quick phone call saying I'm fired & bye bye. They tried to screw me out of my unemployment benefits.yikes. I am glad to of found another job. they cover the bases but leave u hanging out to dry.
I haven't received any further emails from them either, I think they're a scam. Anyone can find your resume and claim to be someone by calling.
have yall tried googling the name of the company they are hiring you for with rose internationals name. theres somthing legitimizing akmost every company.
I received a call from this number, but can barely understand them , guy speaks very broken english and want my SS# before they tell me more info about the job, NO THANKS!!! IF people are going to call about jobs, they need to be able to speak English so you can understand what they are saying.
my mother works for verizon here where i was offered a job thru rose and she said that in fact the job is real
I just received a call from Rose international, offering me a the same position with At&t and it is a very good job. I also was very concerned about the social sec thing but I have been in trouble in the past so I have been finger printed and I don't have anything to steal I need a job so to take from me with be a benefit cause like most people all I have are financial problems so you can have them. Yo big thanks to Patrick tho for letting people know they can be trusted and that he has gained employment. No disrespect to everyone else but all your feedback is just an opinion if you don't have factual argument or concern I would save your feedback your just inciting paranoia and getting people to turn down legit opportunitys
