Actually, they do need recruiters. It is temp work, which means that PepsiCo can easily wash their hands if need be. PepsiCo will hire contract workers and extend them or bring them on full time if they fit the bill after, or before, the initial contract is up.
When I googled the phone number the FIRST hit was for Rose's web site. They have offices all over the country and one in India. Those of you who think this is a scam are just paranoid. It took me less then 30 sec to determine that they're legit, I perused their web site and read the rational comments on this site.
I've worked for rose international. They're real. They're legit. I've worked for Appleone and a lot of other agencies that are out of state. They do not ask for any PI - they ask for the last 4 of your social and your date of birth sans the year. Hardly identifiable information. Rose has some good higher paying positions. Shame paranoia runs rampant with little common sense
These calls are probably not from India. My experience is that there seems to be a disproportionate number of Indians in the recruitment field -- particularly in the tech industry.
@ Rose Recuiter I've worked for a well know staffing agency in the HR dept for many of years as a recruiter. A recuiter protocol is NOT asking for the person's ssn# by phone (RED FLAG).Everyone on this thread please be aware of the recuiter on here who allegedly works for Rose International. Their statement is completely BOGUS. NO staffing agency company should never ask you for your SSN# by phone for "rehirable purposes" for any reason. Your ssn# is for background clerences. A recuiter is ONLY allow to run your ssn# when you fill out their application by giving them your signature of authorization to do so. Some people/ companies will run a scam on you by phone/in person if you allow them to. In addition know your rights. If you feel something is not right about the phone call that you've received from this company. Then you have the right to tell them to stop calling you and to remove your number from their call list. If they do not ahere by your wishes then you can report them to an attorney for further action for harassment. I too received a call from this company and asked them to remove my number from their call list without giving any additional information and conversation. (Please be aware of these scams!)
I worked for two real staffing companies that subcontracted a lot of back-office, and semi-back-office activities to India. Many of those people spoke English, but with thick accents.
This is Michael with Rose International, a large information technology consulting firm. I came across your resume on Dice.com and based on your skills, you might be a good match for a new Clarity Administrator position with my company. Please contact me at your earliest convenience for a quick phone interview; I can typically be reached Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. I have included my contact information, with a link to the Rose website for you to review. I look forward to speaking with you soon!
Calling about a position for Bank of America. Called me 7 times in a matter of 10 minutes, left messages. I think it's obnoxious! If I have not called them back , I am not interested. Why do they keep calling?
I received two separate calls from 1-636-812-4000, a woman said she was Denita with Rose International and that she was responding to a resume that I had sent out. Well, although I thought it was odd that she would be calling from a long distance #, I have been looking for work and know that some companies do use outside sources to screen applicants. She went on to say that the job in question was with Bank of America and asked if I would be interested? I said I would, she confirmed my information on the resume and said I sounded like a good fit and she would send over my resume to Bank of America and get back to me, also that she would e-mail me with more info.I never received any e-mail and now I'm wondering what this was all about?
