They called me. Both my cell phone & home office phone has this as my "answering machine" message: 'You have reached the {omitted} county sherrif's department cyber crimes unit. Please stay on the line for the next deputy. We record all calls, trace all phone numbers and IP addresses for security reasons. If necessary, this information will be forwarded to the FBI. Thank you and please hold.'Usually I hear them say "Oh Sh%t!" and hang up.

Just got a call from this number. When I answered, dead silence....one more pest...although first time call from this number....irritating to say the least.

So how do they tell the difference between my not being home and just not answering because I screen calls?

I made the mistake of answering the fit's call from this number. The caller is an extremely persistent non native speaker (sounded Indian). I told him Best Buy fixes my computer and I didn't want his services, told him not to call again and hung up. The next morning before 8 am he called again. I didn't answer. An hour later he called again, I answered, told him again not to call me and hung up. Two hours later he called again, I told him I was reporting him and not to call me again. I've never dealt with such a persistent caller and not sure what to do if he calls again.

Said they were calling from global tech support about my computer errors.When I asked where he was located he avoided the question 3x then when I insisted he said he was in India with Microsoft support.I told him to stop and do not call me ever again.

I have gotten 5 calls in the last 2 days. Since I am an IT specialist I know what they are trying to do. But since this is a work phone I have to answer every call respectfully. Why can our Government not stop these kind of calls? You know they do not get them more than once.

Getting quite a few calls from this number recently. I never answer the phone with a number I don' know. I let the machine get it.I agree with all the other comments, this is nothing but a scam. Just don't answer the phone.

Caller has been calling for several months, yesterday he left an 8 minute tirad in a foreign language.

He called stating he is technical from windows, in Austin Texas. (# states new york). Then he starts saying words not making sense in a,sentence, such as online browsing, checking e mail. I asked him not clear what you are even saying. Then he says that errors when online.....I told him he is a scam and told him not to call back. Indian accent stating his name is Jack.
