647-898-8827 is a robo-caller that does not recognize an unanswered call and continues its spiel into the voice mail out-going message. By the time the voice mail gets to the point where a message can be recorded, all that is heard is "I'm sorry that was not a valid response. Please press '1' to be transferred to a live representative" which repeats three times.I screen all my calls, if the number is not recognized I do not pick-up. Just like when someone knocks on my door, I do not blindly open it without checking who is on the other side.

I usually look to see who is calling and pick up the phone and say:Hello [***], what's the scam of the day, today? You should google how phonetaps are being used to illegally monitor you whether your phone is picked up or not.

I'd very much like to know how the scammers know that I have two VISA cards! My initial response was to stay on the line to inform them I don't have any credit cards, and was immediately told, by name, I had two VISA cards. I practically jumped down this idiot's throat demanding who they were because they certainly were not my bank--you guessed it: I was hung up on.
18 December 2014, Got a call from 1-647-898-8827, Caller ID name just said "Ontario". A recorded message said words close to: "This a final warning about your last chance to lower your credit card interest rate. Press 1 to speak with an operator now." I pressed 1 and a male voice with strong Indian accent answered.
