Scammer? He'll run when he sees how small my accounts are!

Called me just now. I didn't take the call, but he left a partial voice message in a heavy Indian or Pakistani accent that he was a representing an unnamed legal firm and had a summons for me regarding a monetary claim against me. He said I could resolve the claim (obviously by paying the claim through him with a credit card). He hung up before finishing the message. He's a con artist.

Received a call first from another number that it was our grandson who was in Atlanta and was in jail. He had been arrested for a DUI. It sounded very much like him and his being there altho unusual was somewhat plausable. He was calling my husband "Grandpa" and telling us that he was there for a funeral and was arrested. About 10 minutes later there was the "Skype" 661-748-0240 call from a woman declairing to be from Legal Aid and wanting to help our grandson....calling him by his real name, etc.. Fortunately My Husband could not hear well and told her to call back when I got home later. She said she would. All of this was on our land line and scams we have experienced before have been largely on the computer.Later in the day I was able to connect with my Grandson and we realized it was a total scam. But it did give us a few bad moments. These people are evil and sick.

Just received a call as well, didnt answer, from the looks of it, Im glad I didn't!! Try not to answer calls from area codes I don't know.

This is very mysterious, because when I call people they tell me this is the number that comes up on caller id. When they try calling it back they get "this call could not be completed" or somesuch. All this started like 2 months ago.

Don't let these people on your computer again!! I did and I was horribly hacked!!! Took me a month to straighten everything out and $340. later!! Since then I have learned that nobody from Microsoft or anywhere else will ever call you on the phone. They have had the nerve to call me numerous times after. You don't want to hear what I said to them!! They call from other T#s too so beware!!!!

I got a call (1:45 pm 8/16/2014) From Roy who blocked his number and then few minutes later from Skype User.(2:55 pm)He was trying to say that my email were down loading malicious Malware.And wanted me to go on Face Book and my computer to look.when he new I wasnot buying it,He hung up only to call back a gain with a Skype User number 661-748-0240.Also two weeks before that a man from Columbia,South Carolina called scamming to get personal information ,trying to say that he was gong to sign me up for a student loan.When I wasnot buying that,He hung up.

FYI this is a SKYPE number. It is shared by hundreds if not thousands of Skype callers. Even though Skype is sometimes used by SCAMMERS, such as the cases listed here, it is certainly possible that someone may call you with this number who is TOTALLY LEGIT. So if you have friends or relatives who use Skype, don't be surprised if this phone number shows up in your caller ID.

Got a call this morning while on travel to Mexico. I did not recognize the number and did not answer. Looks like I made a wise decision based on everyone's comments since I would have had to pay the international charge on a scumbag scam. Regards.
