This is a valid number for Navy Federal mortgage. I spoke with the person that's handling my mortgage application. I think this is the first time I ever came here to write that it's an actual valid number. Now that doesn't mean someone in that department is not trying to sell you mortgage and stuff. So if you didn't apply for a mortgage with Navy Federal I would just ignore this number.
they left a message that they were from navy federal and looking for a shanisa artis and could I help them contact her. i've never known anyone with that name and I've had my phone # for over 10 yrs so it's not like I just got her old # or something.
I just opened a Navy Federal bank account that was approved yesterday (received notification via email). I did not apply for a mortgage or any credit products. The caller left a message saying that she needed to complete the process of opening my account. She provided a different callback number.
I got a call from this number last week. The lady identified herself as an NFCU employee and informed me that I was being considered for the Operations position with NFCU that I applied for a week previously. Great! She said she was going to send me a questionaire for the job to my e-mail. I said that would be fine. I never received the document. I called NFCU and explained the situation and they gave me a number to their employment office and an answering machine picks up every time. Left two detailed messages and haven't received a response. Weird. I wish I could remember the lady's name.
Also got a call but sounded fishy, especially the call back number. Called the NFCU number listed on my account. They informed me of my account status. Note to other post: Be smart. Don't be fooled by other post that claim the number to be legit. When in doubt, call the number on your paperwork. Don't EVER give out personal/financial info to someone that calls you. (calling a call back number is the same as a person calling you)
The number IS Navy Federal Credit Union, these days, it is for the Mortgage Modification group. The number goes to a guy named Neil S. It's part of the HAMP .
I recently signed-up for a NFCU home buying seminar. The person I spoke to doesn't handle the registration so he took my name and number. Shortly afterwards, I received a call from this number. They left a voice mail message stating that they were with NFCU and needed some additoinal information to sign-up for the seminar. It's legit.
I received two calls from this number back to back. The called said she was with Navy Federal Credit Union. I had recently opened an account and she wanted to help me set everything up so I could get full access. She asked if I was near a computer and had time. She asked for me to verify some information on my account including my bday and last 4 of my social. I told her that if she was calling me she should have that info. She said if I was uncomfortable giving her my personal information, I could call the 800 number listed on the website and they could transfer me over to her once I get connected. She said she would make a notation on the account that she had called so they would know why I was talking about when I called in. When I called the customer care line they did say that they saw in the notes that a welcome call was placed. Unfortunately the girl was on the phone and couldn't take my call. The customer care rep I spoke told me the girls name and that she would be calling me back when she was done. The girl did finally call me back and said that because I verified my information with the rep earlier we could move forward with setting up my account online. She walked me through logging in and was even able to give me my account info. It is a LEGIT number.
Received a call from 703-272-2013; woman looking for someone named "Molly" who lived on my street. She said she was from Federal Credit. She had a foreign accent and "apologized" for the inconvenience when I told her I knew of no one by that name. Called back and got message "You have reached a non working number at Navy Federal." Sounds like a scam.
