Didn't answer but I called it back...stated it was a non-working number of Navy Federal credit Union

I was on the other line, so I didn't answer the call. They left a voicemail. Called the 1-800 number. They said I could enter my access number, SSN or account number to identify myself. No option to speak with a person unless I entered one of the three. I'll wait to see if they call back but not going to freely give any of that. I'm an NFCU member, so it might be legit just not taking any chances.

it is Navy Federal Credit Union. They called because my husband requested new debit cards, and they wanted to verify it with me, since I wasn't there. Totally legitimate.

I received a call from them this morning and it didn't sit well with me so called Navy Federal to ask about the number. The phone teller performed a search of valid Navy Federal phone numbers. She verified that this number does belongs to the Navy Federal Credit Union Headquarters building and is active. Bottom line is that if you have a question simply call Navy Federal directly. They can also place a code word associated with your accounts to help protect you from any unauthorized changes to those accounts.

I got a call from this number 5:56 on December 27,2017 and I let it ring and did not answer then I called back to a woman saying ‘sorry,this is a non working navy federal credit union’ then they hung up so nothing suspicious.

This is Navy Federal Credit Union. I requested a pre-approval letter for a mortgage and they called me back the next day as a courtesy call. However, I would advise to always double check. For instance call the company directly with the phone number listed on their website to ensure this is not a scam. Scammer can now change their number that appear on one's phone.

Well, what the hell do they want? They call repeatedly and especially at the most inopportune time of the day.

they said the same thing to me saying that someone called in trying to change my pin number. tells me that he thought it was suspicious and that i should cancel my current card and order a new one. first question he asks me is for my last 4 of my social. that right there was a red flag and i did not give him any information after that.

Caller asked for me by first and last name, when I responded that it was me she said I was named as a reference for someones credit application. I had no clue who the person she named was and told her that and hung up. The more I thought about it the more concerned I was as to why and who would be using my name as reference. I did not call the # back as I could not remember the exact name of the person she said listed me as a reference. It was something like Amir Sahib, but I wasnt sure.
