i got a call from 713-981-0098 and 2 calls from an "unknown" # on my personal cell #... i dont know anyone in prison, nor do i need to. they never state a name, it just says Global Tel Link and it doesnt state a prison or state... i just want to block the call bc to my understanding, cell phones cant receive collect calls.

If you'd use correct ebonics (aka afrospeak)in your diatribe, it SHOULD say: It BE global tel link - then we's all be understandin' YO?

madmomma is absolutely correct. My boyfriend is in jail in southern california and that is the number that comes up every time he calls me - it can be either collect or prepaid. Relax people

Why would someone who I DO NOT KNOW, who is in prison in a state far, far away, be calling me collect? Either wrong number or scam/spam.

1(713)981-0098 is a collect call from global telemarketing link a jail system believe from texas. i live in cali and have no relaives in texas one time they called and it wasnt a collect call and they said it was a emergency to call his sergent and gave me his id number i didnt even bother calling and i would suggest to anyone dont even bother answering those calls. They are expensive and has far has i know they are just bothering you.

Got a call from this number and from unknown number. First time saying an inmate from "North County Correctional Facilities" and second time saying an inmate from the "Los Angeles" jail system is trying to reach me. I don't know anyone in jail, so this is very fishy. I checked, and all those who matter to me are not arrested---so whoever is calling me can just rot there. haha.

Received call last night, yes area code from Houston... Listen to message and if it has a jail name look it google it up, if the jail name is in ur area: you relative just got arrested and is trying to contact u.They call twice make sure secon time u answer!
