yeah I get a call from this number from global tel link telling me that its a prison in California and I talked and I just feel like it's not really something that's in prison

Had call from 713-981-0098 asking if I would accept a collect call from "Kevin" located in the LA County Court lockup. Press 1 to accept or hang up to reject. Yea right. Seems like many have had similar calls with different names. Far as I'm concerned "Kevin" can rot there.
These calls are pre-paid calls from the prison systems across the country, when you answer, they do not cost you anything. They have an account that pays for them!
got a call twice from this number. thought it was my cousin calling because my aunt just passed away and she was driving to texas to her brothers for the service. Tried calling it back, first it was busy, then no answer.

Keep getting calls from this number every minute until it filled up all of the calls that I can receive. Now I cannot get any messages from important people that I know. How can I make this stop?
I just got this call less than 30 mins ago. I doubt it's a scam cause when you receive a collect call, the person states their name (you have a collect call from "john Smith") And the it was my gf's name. I just wish I knew which jail it is so I can get a hold of her...by the way, she was doing some illegal stuff so this all makes sense....grr!!!

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
