I received a call last night from 713-981-0098, they said it is from LA central prison and an inmate want to speak to me, then told me to dial a number like this: *7213239444431 to get authorization from his supevisor. When I called this number there is a lady answered that I have to provide the name of the inmate. SInce I have no idea who is the prisoner, so I hang up. Since that time my phone had problem, income call made short ring but I could not listen to the phone even though I could call out. This morning my son told me our phone have been directed to other number and certainly it was being scammed and we may have to pay an expensive bill. I have retrieved my phone by press *73.Please give your advice how and what I have to do it there is a charge for collect call.
They charge more because it is state to state my case one dollar a Minute nice way to ? The person receiving the call
i kno exactly who is calling & made a payment thru credit card but for some weird reason , the calls still dont come thru..nd yeahh yall are right its from all around the world because i am in houston tx nd ppl from other states are sayin they are recievin calls from the same number..i cant figure out where my brother is at..
IT IS FROM PRISON ITS JUST THE NUMBER I GUESS IN DIFFERENT PRISONS THEY HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS COMPANY MY HUSBAND CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER AND HES IN WAY SIDE IN LOS ANGELES ,CA. SO YES I KNOW THESE CALLS VERY WELL NOT A SCAM THEY DO NEED A VISA OR MASTERCARD TO ESTABLISH A PREPAID ACCOUNT FOR EITHER 25 OR 50 DOLLARS.
is not a prison.. my brother jus got locked up last night for some warrantsnd he keeps calling but not even the phone company i have can figure out where the call is coming from
My boyfriend is in County Jail and he calls me with this number as the caller ID. I have Verizon and used to have AT&T cell phone and these calls are legit. Its not a scam, you have to pay $25 or $50 to accept these calls on your cell phone without having to contact your service provider.
This is absolutely ridiculous. I got a call Sunday morning, said it was from a county jail near me, thought omg who got arrested, then again this afternoon, I get a call again. DID not accept the call, these little guys/gals are just wanting someone else to pay for their deals....I wish there was some way to stop this.
