I received a call at 3:31am & the message said to block inmate calls press 7. It was a voice mail, I don't know anyone in TX or in Jail so I don't know how they got my number, it is private & I don't give it out.
Go to www.offenderconnect.com and set up a pre-paid account so you can accept the collect calls.
713-981-0098 is from Bentonville County Jail. It's an inmate collect call out line.
This is the 3rd time we have received this call from the number 713-981-0098, inmate number 2307761. We live in southern California and don't know anyone in that area.
It is a texas number but the caller doesnt have to be in texas~it is a prison system # like the other girl said. I get my phone blown up every day AND night from someone who is locked up in the LA County Jail Twin Towers
I recieve between 6 to 10 calls per day from this number. It asks if i want to accept a collect call. I have no idea who this is. I dont know anybody in jail, i dont know anybody in trouble with the law. I dont know anyone from texas or california. I live a long way from there. I dont know anyone who would be in the us illegally. The phone I am recieving these call to is a business cell phone, owned and paid for by my employer. I simply just hang up. However, these calls must STOP!!!
We just got a call from 713-981-0098. We have caller ID so we knew it was from Global Tel Link. We figured it was a phone company trying to get us to switch our phone service. I answered, then immediately hung up. We got three more calls within two minutes. Lo and behold, I go to this site and see 23 pages of names of people who are targets of this attempted scam! But how does this company get everyone's phone numbers? Or do they they have an automaed program that just keeps dialing phone numbers in numerical order?
asked me to call another number and ask for SGT Wallace, called around 11:30 pm .awakened me out of sleep and had me on line for a while. other number was 713-323-237-2070. even gave a booking # 277-0622.
