just recieved this partial message on my voice mail to set up an account, it sounded like it a collect from grant or grand county jail asking to set up a prepaid account. do not know any one in that area code. tried the reverse phone number lookup and sure enough it is likely a scam. i was asked to accept charges or set up a prepaid account or instructed to dial 866-230-7761 to set up my prepaid account with my visa....yeah right!

Who is trying to call me on my cell.

well, how do you accept the calls if you have cricket? do you need to put money in your flexbucket account?

I've gotten 4 calls this morning from 713.981.0098; same story, I have a loved one or family member in "Pitchess Detention East Facility" (California), call them back at *721 323.412.2282, Mrs Ortega is waiting for my call. Johnny from Station 22 was who I was speaking with. I called our local Sheriff department and they told me it's a scam.

yep its a total scam!!! when you push the option to block all calls it says you have to call another number and when i did it was to asia, foreigners answered who asked for my name and phone number. i felt it was a total scam to get my info so i asked for a supervisor which took 15 minutes. and he was a total scammer sounding guy. i he was a black guy with an apathetic unprofessional attitude who hung up on me when i asked for details about their calls.

my son is incarcerated in rhode island . all calls are pre payed. i press 9 to recieve the call . id shows globel tel link. i have not been scamed. but several years ago both my mother and myself recieved the call 288 etc. numbers and we could never get them to work, thank goodness. and we were not billed for any calls. just be careful

I've been getting the calls since last Friday. Is there any way to stop the calls? Or will they eventually just stop calling?

here the number for the jail it self the nmber they callin u from is a pay fone in there for them to call perants the number is 254 339 4458 call it then press one then wait for a few words then press 5 then press 0 and ask for wat u need then

It is a total scam. Fortunately my phone doesnt do call forwarding that way. I said to the guy that it makes no sense to dial *72. I called the number directly without the *72 and it was ome kids voice saying thank you very much for calling.

i think its so they can get our names and numbers. but primarily they want us to pay for the call from the inmate, = get our credit card and money!
