It looks like they are using "Denver County Jail" now.. just got a similar call from this number, today.
FYI... the only reason why you'll see Global Tel"Link on your called ID, is an actual inmate is calling you and is part of the scam.
Got a call at 10 pm stating collect call from Gregg county jail, which is local. Couldn't distinguish name and said to pick up.
Received multiple calls from this # and listened to an automated message about an inmate at the Los Angeles Metropolitan Detention Center trying to reach me via collect call. In order to accept the call, the receiver needs to set up an account by submitting his/her credit card information and incurring a minimum $25 charge. Had to cancel my credit card and file a claim against the charge after falling for this scam.
Greetings,I have been getting calls from an inmate at the twin towers correctional facility. When the robo call stops so that the inmate can say his name he says "your son". I don't have a son.I was reading up on it and it seems to be a scam to try to trick old people to put money on their jail accounts for spending money.I had three calls today alone. A couple days ago I had 2 more and 6 months ago I also had a few over the course of a week or so. I read online to contact you guys to figure out who it making the calls and get the prisoners call privileges revoked. The calls today (Saturday March 14th 2015) came in at 5:54pm then a second call at 5:57pm. The calls on Thursday March 12th 2015 at 7:20pm and again at 8:50pm.Please block my number from being called from any correctional facility if you canMy number is (213) 380-7399
I keep getting calls from this number at different times of the day. I don't know who is calling. I have never answered the calls and when I call back I either get a busy signal or it just rings and nobody answers.

The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

Unsolicited call. Wanted me to complete my "voter profile." I've voted from this address for over 20 years.
It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
