I just got the same call. ID said "Colorado". He said he was from Microsoft and he detected a virus on my computer?!? I asked several times who he was with (because his accent was so heavy I couldn't understand him). He kept saying Microsoft. I just finally hung up. It was all very strange... It felt like he was just trying to keep me on the line for some reason.
I just got a call from them. I never answer unless I know the caller. My phone is for my convenience so they can listen to my message. However, I have a very loud whistle that I'm thinking of using the next time.
This # 720-708-1000 called my office and some guy with a Middle Eastern accent asked to speak to the owner. When I told him he wasn't in at the moment, he asked if I could verify certain company info. I said yes. He asked to verify the name of the company (which happened to be one of the companies we shut down 3 years ago). I told him it was no longer in business and he asked about our current company and the address, number, etc.. When I told him that due to the nature of the company we remain unlisted, he started going on and on about how we can get better business by accepting credit cards as form of payment. He said he would email me info on credit cards and asked for the company email address, I lied and told him we didn't use email because by then I was done with this guy and wanted him off the phone. He then said he could send to to MY personal email and asked for that. I told him there was no way I was going to give out my personal email address and hung up on him. (In not so nice words). We are also on the "Do Not Call Registry" and we get about 20 calls a day from the same places asking to verify info for Google, Yellow Pages, Local something or other. There's gotta be a way to stop them.
To whomever it may concern,Please take me off your list before I am forced to take legal action. I have requested this both digitally (5 times) and verbally (3 times) to different people on the other end of the line. The line mysteriously goes dead whenever I request removal from this call list, or request to speak to a superior when told "there is no list". There is somewhere, as phones do not call without first being programmed to do so. I am a disabled woman, who does not need to lower her interest rates. I have no credit debt whatsoever. I am also on the "National Do Not Call List". I am beginning to track all the numbers that come in to my home, so a detailed list will be accompanying a copy of this message to the Better Business Bureau. This is the only warning you will recieve.Thank you for your time,(You have wasted more than enough of mine already.)-Irate Wife #?
So my Grandparents just got swindled out of $9K yesterday. They did the convincing Grandson call needing money for a broken arm in Mexico. The [***] convinced them they were my cousin. People, please remember whenever your hear "wire" me the money. It's a SCAM!
Forward them to the FCC? You are a devious, [***]! I LOVE IT!! You are someone after myown heart! Thank you as I get tons of these stupid calls as the "do not call list" seems to translate into "CALL ME!! CALL ME!!" Thank you again!
They have my number because I'm a business owner and they want to get my worst paying customer to get me to pay up. They are obnoxious and will not get off the phone with you unless you hang up. But they are very clear that they will not stop calling (as I asked numerous times) until they quote me their rate.BS twerps and slime. I know people have to make a living in Obamaville, but gimme a break!
Hello, - Yes, I received this call on 6-19-2012 - I was busy doing my online college classes - and the phone rang, I did not check who called - I just picked up - as I was concentrating on my work - some one was on the other end - but they were just listening - they would not answer - it was 720-708-1000 - I do have my telephone number on some N.J. aggregated (reported) amounts of money - trying to win some money - as our family is hurting financially due to the father so ill - no work income for 5 yrs - guess I had better drop trying to seek help that way! I must be getting my phone number to unsavory people.!!
