WHO IS THIS ? HAD A CALL - SEEMED OK BUT ASKED QUESTIONS FOR 30 MINUTES? THANKS FOR HELP - PERHAPS A SCAM
Said she is with Century Link & because they are so focused on good customer service she wanted to personally call & discuss the great discount our company already is signed up for. I didn't like her attitude & don't care to confirm anything over the phone so I just told her I was in housekeeping & would take a message. She continued to try & get info from me, asking me how to pronounce my full name all at once etc. Bottom line is as far as I know our company doesn't use Century Link for anything unless it's in fine print somewhere (& you can bet I'm gonna look). I think the 720-708-1000 phone number is some generic number people can use regardless of the reasoning for contacting you. My friend's daughter prank called my son using a system that I believe is one in the same. When she called my son a crazy, random number showed on his Caller ID.
This caller said that they were with the Better Bureau Business (NOT the Better Business Bureau) They had our address and said that we had won a $35K car. When I challenged them and said they were NOT with the Better Business Bureau, the male call proceeded to call me "a f---ing piece of s--t" to which let them know I was reporting them and hung up.
I'm receiving these calls everyday every hour and it is really getting on my nerves and then they will call back unknown sometimes like I'm really going to answer. I want it to stop immediately. This is not the only phone number they are calling from on daily basis. Somebody has to do something
Called my wife asked for someone told them wrong number. Said she sounded good and started asking questions said had a package to give away and if had some info she could get it. Has also called from 876-373-3328. This is a Jamaican #. Also private #'s. Won't stop so I just talked to him, said was at my front door with a gun in his hand. Then when told him come on in he was a block away. i live in country and is no "blocks". told him it was his [***] not a gun in his hand.
got a call from this number, said they were from the republican party and their office was in St. Paul, MN. I told them I didn't recognize the number because their were no area codes listed in Minnesota with that number. They said they were still having to get stuff worked out with the phone company. He asked me to make a $50.00 contribution. I told him I didn't think I could make that amount and that I only make those contributions through the mail. He said he would send me something in the mail if I would agree to make a $50.00 contribution...I told him to just send me something in the mail and I would look at it. I then asked him who the Presidental candidate's running mate was--he could not tell me. I thought he shouldn't be trying to get money on behalf of the party if he did not know who the running mate was.
Re'd a call yesterday morning ... caller ID said "Colorado". We don't know anyone in Colorado so we ignored the call... in researching this number here, I am definitely glad we didn't pick up the call.
I wouldn't leave your e-mail in public like that Bobbie - you are just asking for spam. By the way the Do Not Call list does not work for charity, politicians and dept collectors - the three categories you would put at the top of your Do Not Call List. Just save money get caller ID and don't answer calls you don't recognize. I don't know about cell phone plans. I would ask your carrier 'cricket' how to not be charge for them. Good Luck.
He said his name was John Conner, from Microsoft. He said my computer has boot problems (Which it doesn't). I reported it to my local police as a scam. Next time "John Conner" calls, I'm going to act like I have no knowledge of computers whatsoever, and record the conversation, then send it to the FBI.
