I get calls on my cell from this (and other numbers). The always hand up. The thing is when you call it back it's not a real "your call cannot be completed as dialed" message...it seems to be a front end to some sort of menu - but I can't figure out how to get past it. You can make it ring again (like a transfer) if you start hitting buttons like a 5#. If it was real you should just be dropped - but the line stays open indefinitley as far as I can tell.
Called earlier in the week, then again this evening. Both times a live person on the line. Asian call center. Indian or Pakistani accent. First time a man, with some mumble about "security problems" on my Windows computer. Yeah, right! Second time a woman, with some mumble about "home security". Uh-huh. Almost certainly both calls were lead-ins to some kind of scam or another. Hung up abruptly on both. Suggest you do likewise.
This number keeps calling me tonight for the 10th time. It's really pissing me off. When i answered, it was just a bunch of beeps...the last one i answered was some spanish automated message.
I keep getting calls from this number today on my iPod, which is like a texting number. Calling costs money, so I don't answer. Only a few family members know this number bc I text on it. I wonder how they got this number.
Received a call from 7207081000 at 2am. Attepted to call the number back and got a recording that the call could not be completed at dialed, to check the number and try again.
someone called and said they were from an alarm company. When I told them we have an alarm, he asked if it was monitored. I hung up the phone.
SCAMERS WATCH THEM I GET MORE THEN 10 CALLS PER DAY 03/02/2012 TODAY THEY CALLED ME TO REDUCED MY GAS BILL I DONT HAVE HOUSE SCAM
Caller asked for "Grandpa" and when questioned whether they had reached a wrong number, caller asked for Aunt XXXX. I asked who was calling, caller said it was my eldest nephew. I responded with my eldest nephew's name, and caller said "yes". Then proceeded to tell me he was in Dominican Republic for a friend's wedding and was in a car accident. He needed me to send him $2800 today so he could return to US tonight. (My eldest nephew just happened to be released from hospital after quad bypass so I knew it wasn't him.) I told caller, "This isn't XXXX. It's XXX" Caller said "yes". He said to go to my bank and take out cash. I told him my bank was in another state and I couldn't do that. OK - he said to then take my credit card and go to a bank and withdraw the money on the card." Told him I would have to talk it over with my husband. Husband got on phone and told him we would not be sending him the money. Caller immediately hung up. SCAM!!!!! SCAM!!!!!
