I wonder if they are starting to hurt for cash since no one is paying them anymore. Once enough people realize they are scammers, it makes it quite hard on them to go find new customers. They seem to be stepping up effort on harassing phone calls. They have called twice this month, and each and every time I tell them I will not pay, please proceed to your next step. They haven't done anything yet, and I know they won't as they don't have a leg to stand on. I don't believe that a doctored phone conversation will work as proof of a contract.I have reported them to the competition bureau, but it seems like fraud to me. Yet they are still in business.My advice when talking to them. Look at it as entertainment. Be nice, but strong in convictions, and see how frustrated you can get them. Think of it as a game they can't win, and the outcome doesn't matter, but it is fun nonetheless.Colin

cedar publishing also use these numbers, they have called me from each one at least twice in the last week and a half:(780)701-3723 said the were a food bank magazine, name came up on call display as Baur&FIS(780)701-3724 said they were a csi magazine no name on call display, called my husbands cell too(780)701-3725 another one for csi magazine no name on call display(780)701-3719 said they were a child find magazine name on call display L Berkeleywe have been scamed by these losers before and will not fall for it again, but they keep calling, hope these numbers will help people identify these liars and hang up when they call!

Cedar publishing is a total scam... Cedar publishing even changes the publication when they see fit- cedar publishing is not a accredited company, therefore it will not go to the bureau... Even though the collectors that call you... Tell you it will... They lie! To get you to pay! Dont think it will affect your credit ... It won't - There was an ad in the paper... Looking for sales agents... Promising a $2000 signing bonus... Which new hires never see ... Again a lie- most important ... There is no distribution... Therefore; your ad is useless- all the money generated ... Goes directly into the owners pocket. Moe is a crook! And will surely burn in hell for his misrepresentation - REMEMBER! his employees will threaten you ... With legal action... Ruin your credit! ... Dont be fooled its all a bluff... Moe is a scammer and a false advertiser... Dont be fooled by this crook! Its all a scam!

Cedar Publishing got my number from a resume I'd posted on a job search website and has been calling for over a year now. The call from many of the numbers listed here. I will have a week or two without calls, then they call daily for 3 weeks straight. Usually I just ignore the call, but I often answer then hang up without speaking. You'd think they'd get the hint, but apparently not. No, I don't work with crooks, thanks.

They kept sending us proofs that were wrong, Finally, I emailed them back, stating we are no longer interested in your magazine. Because they had the competitors contact information on the proof over and over again. And now they keep calling and being very rude over the phone. asking for unpaid invoices. Let me know how you guys dealt with this issue.

I had received a call from Tyrone, one of their telesalesmen, in April 2010 to place an ad in their Alberta Paramedics Newsmagazine. At the time I was just a self-employed sales rep for an industrial maintenance hardware company. So I asked Tyrone to email me some info but he said they do not use e-mail. I agreed to receive info via fax, but at the time of the phone call I was in a store and I had asked to use the store's fax machine as I did not have my own fax. I received the info, then I spoke to Tyrone again about the ad. I agreed to let him put together an ad for me and to send me the ad proof for my authorisation, but I again told him I was not able to get it by fax as it wasn't my fax machine. I told him to mail me a copy of the ad proof, which I did not get. He ignored me and sent it to that same fax anyway, which I never did receive. After some time I figured that since I never got the ad proof that it had been forgotten about. Lo and behold a couple months later I received a copy of the magazine and an unauthorised ad in it...I phoned Cedar and spoke to the receptionist and she told me that they would have needed my signature for authorisation, so she put me through to Moe, the owner. I spoke to him and told him I did not authorise the ad and told him he needed my signature to run it, which they didn't have. He said they didn't need it but I argued with him; I've been in sales before and for any contract to be valid you need a signature! I told him I wasn't paying the $500 invoice because I didn't authorise it and he said he'd send me to collections.Well to this day I keep getting phone calls from "Brandy" in collections...3 weeks ago she called and I hung up on her (not knowing what phone number was calling) because their phone numbers always show up as private. She called me back and left a very rude message saying "no wonder you're no longer in business anymore, being very unprofessional like that!" HA! little does she know the company I worked for is a multi-million dollar company based in the US! I have ignored every single phone call from her or anyone else from this company. Don't be fooled by them, if they tell you they'll take you to court or that if they send you to collections it's a bunch of baloney. They don't have a leg to stand on! I would be interested in joining a class-action lawsuit if anyone is interested in starting one.
