well their phoning again for money. it started 2 years ago and they are still on my butt. i am NOT giving them a dime. what a scam, claiming i agreed to advertising in the CSI magazine. i phoned a few of the local ads in the magazine and they never even heard of them. even the local rcmp have not heard of or received a CSI MAGAZINE. believe me, in my business- i am not a house builder or designer

I hate to be the odd duck in this "conversation" but I feel that the majority of the postings here are quiet one-sided, lacking serious substance and unfortunately racially motivated by some. I have been dealing with Cedar for several years placing advertisements in mulitple publications. My dealings with this "phony" company, as several of you have labelled it, severely contradict your claims.Mo was great at helping me with my needs. When I did have an issue with one of the advertisements I placed last year, it was remedied immediately. The girl at the switchboard or whatever it is, was quiet pleasant. I have read several complaints that these magazines do not exist. Yet, I have seen them in several locations across my city and might I add, I enjoyed seeing my business' advertisement in there.I have had MANY telemarketing companies telephoning my company and harrassing my staff, yet Cedar was never one of them. I'm sorry if you all disagree with me, but I believe it is quiet unfair for individuals to gang up on this company which has done a lot for our community. Last I checked, quite a large percentage of their earnings have been donated to local charities. If our society cannot deal with companies such as Cedar, then I think we are headed for the worst.Please forgive me for disagreeing with you, but it must be said that although your views may be warranted, they are only representational of a very small group within the community. Also be careful for the name Andy Zakotuk aka Chris Alan!!! I actually worked for these guys and it was a gong show there was arguing and many threats between the management and staff!! When i left moe threatened to not give me my paycheque!!! It was the worst experience of my life!! Somebody has to stop these guys from scamming more people!! cat

Phoned "lisa" to day she did not hang up right away She let me explain the values of the company she worked for, she no longer denies working there, reminds me of Judas. I told her of mo's collection tactics, I think there is a crack developing. Which brings me to another call I made it was to a lady who previously owned a magazine that cedar bought The Edmontonian, Barb Deters. She told me she had absolutly no concerns about what was happening. I was polite and said thats fine good bye. Her voice had a familiar ring to it it sounded suspiciously like "glennis" who's previous life was as a collection caller with cedar. I noticed yesterday when I called them back to confirm they would NOT run an add for the company I work for they also answered Hello. I am pretty confused as to how long they are going to be able to run this scam! To pretennd to represent Child Find, Police and Fireman Mags, Crime Stoppers etc? I hope they get stopped soon.

Was there anything on the news lately? I heard something went down last week. Anyone hear of anything? Has this crook finally been exposed?

Called Lisa today I am well aware it is become an obsession, but I feel some one has to keep them on thier toes. It is becoming routine. Now she calls me back. It's lackluster, I suppose she got a peptalk from mo. The wheels of justice grind very slow but there are some things I iniated that should at least slow mo's supply of missaproiated cash down. Complain to who ever will listen phone anyone you can find that has advertised with him make them aware of this page I'm sure they can make an educated assesment of where to spend thier advertising dollars. mo gave me the lead of Walmart I phoned them to make them aware. From what I understand they are looking into him. He told me the M.L.A.s used his paper I phoned them, they are reviewing. Every little bit hurts. Anyone that has spare time can stop these people.

Can I inform you that I work for this company..I am not in sales but more of an administration position, I have seen and heard all the complaints that go through from customers and please let me advise you that there is a newsmagazine...I do the invoicing..proof the ads and see the magazines sent out (days of proofing...trust me its hard work). Maybe the sales tactics are quick to sell but when there is a dispute...we do tape all calls and will play them back to the client...on almost all occasions we hear the customer say he "wants to buy it". If it is clear he didnt...the ad is cancelled....Just sayin.
