Well "andy" if you do any amount of checking most of these charities will no longer even accept a donation from mo or cedar publishing that must tell you somethinmg just go to thier legiment web sites and have a look.

Cedar has got to be a a scam. Got a call from them said I'll think about it,ended up getting a proof in the mail witch was scanned from an ad in the local newspaper which I didn't like. Next thing I know I get the magazine from them with the ad in it and an invoice. Then the phone calls start coming demanding payment. Had to explain the situation twice to the manager or whoever he is. So he stopped calling. Then had to explain it to their collections department twice who made it sound like "hey we printed it so you have to pay". So that means I should be able to stop by some persons house and tell them they should reside their house and when they politely back out of it by saying I will think about it, I should be able to go to that house the next day and reside the house, side it a color they do not want and wait for them as they return from work with an invoice in my hand and tell them it is sided so you have to pay too bad. The collections department doesn't have E-mail and doesn't accept anything but cash or cheque payments and is in the same building as Cedar publishing and would not give me the name of the collections company. looks like a shady to me. Another thing thing that raises a red flag is that I never got a single phone call from their ad and I know this because cedar publishing is based in Edmonton and I am based 2.5 hours out of Edmonton. It seem like what they do is scam a bunch of people and publish only enough magazines to send out to their scamees then they harass the ones who figure out what is going on. It would be interesting to open one of the magazines and call all the people that are advertized in that magazine to see if anyone got any calls from that perticular book. It wouldn't be surprising if no one did.

Oddly, Cedar Publishing is so transparent it's almost funny. Even the couple of Mandy's or Maria's and the Andrew Stevens are so clearly Moe himself or some lacky he has convinced to get on and blog comment with better grammar than his own.The Canadian Consumer Act contradicts everything this guy is doing. From the claim that phone calls are "recorded" which is illegal, to the faxed proof and that no reply is an actual reply of confirmed sale.Cedar Publishing is the worst type of scamming, and this guy Moe just makes enough from illegal ads to keep himself going forward. Someone needs to shut this guy down, or do a web page extoling the lack of virtues this shyster represents.

Phone busters and the competitions bureau may have an open file on them so that is one place to start. Might want to call these two organizations. Also I know that another company is in court with them that I used to work for. Company name is regional maple leaf, owners name is Rob. If u called them at (780) 420-0193 your information could be useful with their case. Having worked in the advertising industry, it is a shame that cedar publishing has lasted as long as it has. Shows us how ineffective our Canadian legal system is at dealing with fraudulent businesses. It takes people like yourself to come forward and make people aware of what's going on. All of you all got jokes. Seriously. Both the caller and the called should seriously do some serious introspection!!!! So what came first the chicken or the egg...well I guest the called. All you that get called own businesses right? Obviously you are smart enough to do that... right? So when people are calling for money it is logical to think that you all (the called) know what is going on, keep in you are running businesses and not just for a few months but years!! So do not act shock and surprised when you get an invoice!!! You very well know that a service has been rendered and your company name is out there. Whether the publication is about ants buildings hills or children, you know you have purchased a service. All you guys are trying to "get over" on people as much as the callers. I will bet a "healthy" dollar that 75% of you "called" that are complaining do not pay any of your bills. You dead beats then justify it as "business strategy" or as being a "sophisticated business person". If it were up to you called dead beats you probably would roll back minimum wage $2/hr and your workers would still have to chase you for their pay. For example, 5 years ago as long as you have banked with a given bank in most cases a maximum 6 months, any company pay roll cheque were put through. Now because of "called" dead beat companies like you people on this website, most bank are holding pay roll cheques whether you banked for 0 years or 100 years. Whether you have $100 000 in an account or $0 in an account, unless they can verify the cheque it is held. This is becoming more and common because of dead beat companies like you who bounce pay roll cheques. Not only that, a lot of you are running ads with multiple company...then act hard done by when the invoice comes. You called companies are trying to "get one over" as much as SOME but not ALL CALLERS.Now you callers really got jokes, thinking you are going to out smart business people who have been running successful businesses for many years. For all you scam callers, the dead beat company is way, way ahead of you. And in the end you catch a few nice and ethical businesses off guard. Thus the entire print advertising industry gets painted with the same brush. All you all know that there are effective print advertising outlets and how to evaluate if it will be effective or not. You called businesses should know also when some of these clowns call you up and start talking about how good they look in a bikini or try bullying you with a "hot button" topic (i.e. crimes against children or helping kids) that something is up!! Look for callers that are talking about sensible features and benefits(i.e. a legitimate sales pitch). Yes people were are talking about telemarketing. Please do not liken "telemarketing" to a swear word or harassment. Because if that is the case every single business person is then guilty either directly or by extension. Thus, all of you that prides themselves as being a successful business person knows all to well that telemarketing is extremely cost way a generating business...MONEY!!!! That is what you business people do!!!! So for all of you callers and called a like, do not do the "babe of the woods" routine. All you all know exactly what is going on!!!So all you all mellow out. Do some TAI CHI. Drink some CHAMOMILE TEA. Smoke some MARIJUANA!!!But do the right thing because what goes around comes around!!!!!!

You are an employee at Regional Maple Leaf and rather than focusing on your own work, you are attempting to succeed by giving the competition a bad name. Cedar Publishing has never been fined, or had any judgements against them. In fact there has never been a legal investigation into the work they do, which is exactly the same as yours Mr. Employee. It is amazing how far competitors will go to discredit the competition. All of these complaints are either from members of Cedar's competition or deadbeat debtors who shouldnt have made purchases in the first place. I see alot of people have a lot of time on their hands. Would Cedar be in business for 15 years if they actually were doing something illegal? Give your head a shake people.

Hi there. I had a "holly" from this place. She asked me if i wanted to be in their magazine, I imply said no thank you and left it at that. she called me about 5 more times, then finally left a message telling me how unbelieveably unprofessional I was and then proceeded to tell me to jump in lake! crazy!
