July 2013 and somehow Cedar Publishing is still able to keep going. They make sure they invoice small enough amounts that don't warrant too much action. They hope you won't be bothered enough to contact a lawyer or anyone else. They call endlessly, no messages, bogus phone numbers that calls can't be returned on.But, all of the 'news magazines' swirling in the toilet bowl all lead to Cedar Publishing.The plan seems to be to wear honest people down until they pay for something they never wanted or asked for......a very dismal sad way to make a living. The last call we got turned nasty as soon as we said 'no thank you & please remove us from your calling list.' Honestly, Oscar of Cedar Publishing , the last I checked we have every right to refuse to place an ad in any publication we do not want to advertise in. We do not have to place an ad with you in order to prove we are community minded & support good causes. Believe me, we support good causes that really exist and produce real community help and aid.I truly hope you taped our last conversation as I repeated told you 'No thank you' to your ad. And I especially hope you taped the part where I told you to remove us from ALL of your 'news magazine' call lists.That way you can be quite sure of what I said.

Us too. This is COPYCAT what we are going through. I just the other day got the letter from Canadian Credit Management... pay up blah blah. We have sent them all of the proof and what knot that they ran the ad knowing we did not want it. And they won't give up. Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone here know I called a lawyer here in town and inquired. Here is what he told me. 1) If there is no signature, there is no contract, so they have no case .. 2) Basically its all fear and bullying to threaten to go to court because lawyers won't look at a lawsuit under 6 figures because its not worth it. and 3) ( MY FAVORITE and you can tell them this if you decide to talk to them for the 47th time)... You can not collect past due accounts after 2 years. There is a statute of limitations. 2 years is it. SO, as some of you have said, they are still hounding after 2 years you can tell them to F off and go ahead and sue. Times up. Knobs. The lawyer said basically ignore them.

Caller says her name is Cindy Finch calling on behalf of 'Missing Kids News Magazine'This is Cedar Publishing in Edmonton. Do not answer these calls. and if you do happen to ....say no to all questions and hang up. No amount of asking to be removed from their call list is effective whether verbally or in writing.
