I have no idea how a fax equals acceptance. My husband doesn't have time to talk when out working and will tell people to "fax" him and he will look it over--this doesn't mean "I accept".,.. this is where Cedar Publishing has issues. Where are the terms of aggreement to state that a fax equals "yes"É

Also received a faxed proof and I faxed back "proof" saying we did not order ad....was told that we had purchased ad---not so... Called office and these were very pushy and rude people. If they were such a legitimate and honest company, they would be more than happy to accept when a client tells them no. They should be shut down. Other ad companies ask you to sign if you accept to place an ad--now that is legitimate and honest. Moe needs to review his practice and fire the police officer who is talking to people.

They are now calling from a blocked number because I have blocked all their other numbers. The "gentleman" keeps asking for "George". I have told him repeatedly that "George" does not work here. He keeps calling and asking for "George". We are now in our fourth year with the same guy calling and asking for "George".Every now and again a newbie calls but since the same newbie never calls twice, I suspect that the turnover is very large at this organization, especially when I explain to them that they are working for a disreputable company. So after a while, the regular guy calls again asking for "George".The magazines that they are promoting have a very limited circulation and resemble old comic books that used to be popular in the 1960s. The editorial content is very general and not relevant to anybody's situation in the 21st century. This is a money making operation, nothing more. Not one penny goes to the charity that is being promoted.If you are seriously looking to advertise, do the math. Divide the money they are asking for by 20,000 circulation. You can do much better even by advertising in the classifieds of major newspapers - you will get far more business! Google adwords will give you better exposure for a fraction of the cost!

"Melissa" wasn't a good employee and was very misinformed. CMK is not a charity and does not accept donations, same with RCMP. This business is trying to recover missing kids with the help of the community and Candians are WORSE THEN AMERICANS. As soon as you mention missing kids they say "not interested" or " were good" and hang up. Everyone always want something in return. Hence why they advertise your company. Nowadays people have no warmth in their hearts to help these missing babies, they all want money for their business. I would call hundreds of people all day and maybe get a supporter once a week.

The taping is done for better chances in support. They don't ask for money over the phone when you say yes because once you mention credit card number or anything like that. The potential customer automatically says no or we have to think about it. It's a risk free advertisement. They just need your confirmation, of course it has to be recorded. most will probably say we didn't agree to nothing. It's just a better business tactic, everyone should do. You pay for the ad a month after its distributed and by that time you gain enough business for it to pay for itself. Win win for business, and missing children

I agree with Ellen, I previously owned a retail store up north - advertised in the child find edition and the police edition. Didn't have problems but they wanted more $'s.Now working for a retailer who has had DOZENS of ignorant calls, hang-ups etc on an ad that she send in written cancellation before deadline on! As one comment pointed out on here - where do you ever see these 'mazazines'...I have never seen a single one ANYwhere!

Calls that are recorded with out the parties knowledge are NOT admissable in court! I don't care who/where these LOSERS are from - they seriously need to get a life and quit sucking the life blood from honest hardworking businesses!!!!!!
