Just got a phone call from 780-947-8989 and was told that I won 100,000 Air Miles. When a person got on the line he started asking me questions (saying that I need to answer them in order to qualify), and when I refused to answer but started asking my own questions, he got annoyed and hung up.

Called my land line (Ontario) @ 4:45pm ET. Didn't answer... b@st@rds! I'm just glad they didn't wake my daughter out of her nap (parents of infants... you know how valuable some sleep is)

I live near Vancouver, and I just had this number call me. When I called back it was out of service.

Airmiles? I use another phone number as registration. LOL

I live in Coquitlam, BC, my cell phone is from Rogers, I received the call on July 27, 2011 at 6pm, I didn't answer and no message was left.

Got a call on my cell from 1 780 947 8989 and on my home phone from 1 780 949 8989 I called the last number and was told not in service SCAM

Called my office at 2:00; called my cell at 4:20. Both times missed call but no message

Got a call from 1-780-947-8989 on my Cell, this afternoon. Did not answer it. I never answer incoming calls - on any of my phones - unless I know who is calling. From the look of the other reports about this number, it almost surely is a scammer - using multiple retailers' cover-IDs - trying to collect enough information to be useful in creating a bogus-but-plausible identity to use in applications for credit (cards, loans, insurance, etc.).

CALLED MY CELL PHONE STOP IT! NEVER ASKED YOU TO CALL.
