Received message from Terry Falcone to call Transaction Review regarding ATM charge. My Bank says thery never heard of the company. By the way I had just returned from my bank to dispute a debit to my account & turn in my card. It will take two weeks for my money to be returned
i recieved the same phone call from the same person about fraud charges. they say that they are working for the star company which deals with several different companies and gives the name terry falcone for a base return name. I had to cancel my check card and get a new one. Two days after recieving my new card and number, i had $2600.00 in new charges. the same people called with the same information. they are pulling other charges that should be on the card but i'm confused at this point.
I've also experienced this phone call very recently. I actually received two voice mails, both saying the same thing (calling in regards to contact and question me on my recent check card transactions) and leaving THIS call back number. They claim to be calling 'on behalf of my Bank'. This raises my suspicions along with the name used in both messages - Terry Falconi, which was used by two obviously different people (the first message was made by a female, the second being male). I know the main numbers to my banking establishment, this not being one of them. I don't fully trust the credentials of these calls to verify if they are legit and I will not call this number back. Instead, I will call the regualar customer service line of my bank. I have not seen any unaccounted for transactions on my current bank statement as of yet to consider closing my card. Noteworthy, my last transactions using my card we're used for online purchases. This is pretty much the only way such a call could of spawned from on my number.
received a message at work today to call this number...made the call, and was asked to verify the last 3 charges to my debit card. I called my bank immediately afterwards, and they confirmed the number was indeed from the Star Co., and that they were alerted when I had made a transaction online from a company in the UK. (I'm in the states)My bank claimed the call was legit, so I guess it's nothing crazy at this point.
My family had a rare Saturday off together, so we planned to spend it downtown. We used the one credit card a few times throughout the day. We stopped by the bank to withdraw money. We stopped for gas, used the card at the pump. We ate at a restaurant and THAT is the only time the card was out of sight. We then went to the State Museum, where we also used the card, but it was swiped right in front of us and handed right back. I think the server took down the card information. I could be wrong, but we returned home to find the same message on our machine, only a lady named "Carrie" was calling "on behalf of our bank" about recent transactions and to call this 800 number. My husband called and was asked for his first and last name. He refused to give the information and asked her to tell him our bank name. She couldn't. He hung up, we googled the number and found this sight. The following Sunday afternoon another call came in from another person, asking to speak to him by name, with the same speel "on behalf of your bank". He informed her that we've called a lawyer, contacted the BBB and have filed a complaint with the state. Be very careful where you use your card, it's getting more and more scary out there.
I received a similar call, also from "Terry Falcone". The call was legitimate - several fraudulent transactions had posted to my check card. I called them back. They never asked for my card number, SSN, etc., just my phone number and name. They canceled my card, and told me to contact my credit union to dispute the charges and order a new card.
I received a call from a Terry Falconi on behalf of Academy Bank with transaction review. She asked that I call her back at this number 24 hrs a day. They were asking for Jermaine Kelly whoever that is. They wanted to verify a few trasactions on my account. These people are nuts. I do not even have a Academy Bank Card. Ok people what's the plan?
I got the same two calls from Terry FALCONI (one female and one male). I did not call them back but instead I called my CU to confirm it. First, they did not acknowledge any suspicious charges on my debit card. An hour later, a CU representative called my work # (the callerid did shown the # is from my CU) and asked about the charges make on my debit card for the past few days. I confirmed to her that all charges will legit. She did not ask for SSN, debit card #, acct #....etc. So I think the call from the 800 is legit. But as always, CALL your Bank to verify!!!
We got a call this evening from Terry Falconi (Female) asking for bank information. We did not provide any but will followup with our Bank (Amplify)tomorrow. She just identified herself as being with a financial institution.
