The police have nothing at all to do with telephone scams. You seriously think that your local police department have nothing better to do than talk to you about an annoying telephone call? You think anyone at the local police department knows anything about spoofing caller ID or how to track down one of these idiots?If there was an actual crime committed here you still would not get any assistance from anyone until the fraud was up over $100,000. There is no agency empowered to do anything about this.Don't answer calls from numbers you don't recognize and move on with your life!
They called my work cell twice in a minute. I only give out this number for business, which a dish or grid network would certainly not be a part of. I don't pick up unknown numbers, and it sounds like they may be going by multiple names.
I haven't been receiving any telephone calls but rather emails. I have been receiving them for months but have just been deleting them. These emails are going straight to my in box and not to my SPAM. These emails state that if I didn't request this service to call this 800 number that everyone is complaining about. Can see it's a good thing that I didn't follow thru and call that number. It is easier just to delete their email than to put up with their annoying calls.

Got a call from this number today and they said they were from comcast! I've been scammed from someone inside comcast before and this honestly sounded exactly like him, so I automatically said no and he was like "ok" and hung up. What kind of tell a marketer doesn't try to persuade you...so it was obviously a scam so I called them back to find out it was Dish...my parents had dish I've never had dish whilst living on my own I don't even have cable just Netflix so how the hell are they getting my info?I know this is going to sound like a conspiracy theory but I honestly think these companies are working together and running scams through the business. Such [***]!
Cancel your card and get a new one tell the bank to never authorize these transactions and file a fraud claim against them. You need to go into the bank and talk to one of the tellers that's the best way to handle this. Tell them you got scammed and they now have your information if worst comes to worst open a new account and terminate your old one
