I received a call telling me that he is from Dish and also from New Jersey. He wanted my pin number, and was reading my mailing address and the amount in my last bill. He wants me to upgrade my receiver and he wiling to give $25.00 on my bill but I will have put a security deposit of $160.00. I told him that this is a scam and calling the dish network directly.

Have received 3 calls in last 2 days about my "installation". last call said "they would be out between 8 and 12:00 to install my new DISH system, and someone over the age of 18 had to be present the entire time. It could take from 1 to 5 hours. Please secure all pets"Very realistic voice- but i have NEVER contacted them for any service. What kind of scam is htis??

I have received a call monthly for about a year or a little longer. most of the time, I get the call when I'm on the highway. by the time I pull over and try to answer, they are gone. I get a number of calls from my customers, so I try to return the call. have talked to dish a number of times, and I feel that legit, they do not know what's happening. the 800 number rings into the sales dept, and in effort to take care of me, they transfer me to service thinking that service made the call. I have requested that they take me off their call list, but their supervisors assure me that they do not have such a list. I am not a dish customer, nor have I ever been. I am on a do not call list. the people at Dish have tried to remove me from any kind of list or history that they may have, but the calls keep coming. In my mind, I feel comfortable that Dish is not behind these calls, but some scammer using their number as an id.

Woke me up at 6 AM. Indian accent said he was from Dish. I told him it was 6 AM and he should F*** Off!

People, people. You realize this isn't the Dish network calling, it is just another scam call from India. Not sure what their intent is... Someone said they asked for the last numbers of their SS card. I am shocked to see that this scum has been using the same number for so long. I don't have a robo block feature. Is it getting past them?11/18. This is the type to report to the FCC

I got a call from this number at 9:30 Saturday evening, and they left no message. The number is listed as a customer service contact on Dish Network's official website, so I have to believe it actually belongs to them. I wonder if the number is being spoofed, Dish has one or more employees who are scammers, or someone has hacked into their system. I see that the number was first reported here over nine years ago! I don't know about Dish, but if I knew someone was using my own number in such a way for that long of a time period, I darn well would have done something about it before now. Very strange!

received the call from this number at 6:11pm - Nov 20, 2017 - the caller ID shows "Echostar" ... After reading all of the above I believe Echostar is another name for Dish. I'll block it and report to "do not call registry"

They called at 5:30 A.M. I told them it was and they hung up.

Comes up as "Dish Purchase Corp." Caller had heavy Indian accent and his English was poor. He thought we already had Dish service (we never have). Scam; I'd just not answer or hang up on them.

Received a call from this number today. I did not pick up the call and they left no voice message. Obviously less than honorable intentions.
